It may just be my memory playing tricks on me, but I don't remember deck 9 being quite so enclosed with plexiglass as it was on our 3/16 cruise. Do they take any of this down in warmer months. I know it was really hot and it felt very "enclosed" to me .

It was the same way on both of our cruises, so I don't think they take it down - if they did, I'd imagine there would be lots of ping-pong balls floating in the ocean.

It's just a quick trip up to deck 10 for some nice breezes though.

I'm picturing the ship sailing along with a steady stream of ping pong balls bouncing into the waves!LOL. Actually the area that seemed more enclosed to me was down near the beverage station. We had walked outside with lunch trays and it was just too stuffy and hot to sit at one of the tables along here. We ended up going back inside for A/C

It depends on which plexiglass you mean.
Once upon a time, the metal railing found on the various decks (and including the stateroom verandahs) did not have any plexiglass. But apparently too many people were climbing on them, so the plexiglass was retrofitting onto them. I miss the old days when they were Titanic-style (i.e. open).

the stuff I'm talking about is not the stuff from about the waist down, it's the higher stuff. On earlier cruises I just seem to remember sitting outside during embarkation luncheon with the breeze blowing. I remember a section was plexiglass enclosed, but around Scoops it was open from about 4 ft up. at the tables along here. It just seemed very stuffy during our March cruise with it all enclosed.
