We've never been to pleasure Island at night. Frankly I'm too worn out from the parks by that time. This year though we're traveling with two teenage girls, ages 15 and 14 who think they would like to go...with us of course, but I was wondering if it's appropriate at all for that age.....Anyone have any info....

IMHO, it just depends on who else might plan to go at the same time you do. PI is a collection of clubs/bars. People drink alcoholic beverages inside the clubs and on the streets. Some people do things when drunk that you may not want your children to see. Some nights end up PG and others end up XXX. The problem is that you really cannot predict how any particular night might turn out . If you go early in the evening, you will probably run into far less of the "objectionable" behavior.

Many teens enjoy the Comedy Club (improv based on audience input - similar to the TV show "Whose Line is it?") as well as the Adventurers Club. No one under 21 is admitted to BET and Mannikins, even if accompanied by parents. (Those under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian).

Best wishes -

I love Pleasure Island in general, and The Adventurers' Club in particular.
That being said, you should be forewarned that much of the comedy is adult oriented.

My personal opinion is that PI is an adult hangout. If I had teenagers, I wouldn't see myself bringing them there.

Have fun!...

We took my SIL (13yrs old) to PI to view the fireworks and just let her see the area at night.

My MIL made us leave at the end of the fireworks because people were pretty much "going all the way" in the middle of the crowd.

PI is certainly not "disneylike" its more of a clubby area and you will get that sort of people in there as well.

What you have got to do is let them know ahead of time that they language and stuff they see is not entirely how people should be acting...
