Pleasure Island for teens????

Ok, this may be a really stupid question, but I have a 15 year old DS, and I was just wondering, are there any clubs for teens at Pleasure Island, or do you have to be at least 21 to get in? I always thought it was 21, but then I read that Pleasure Island was open during the day to anyone, so I didn't know how that worked exactly. Does anyone know for sure?

Thanks,

Meredith

My parents have been taking me to Pleasure Island since I was 11 and there's never been any problems. Teens can get into all the clubs except for Mannequins and BET. For those you have to be 21 or older. Hope that helps :D

Thanks HomeSweetDisney, that is really good to know. DS would love BET, but I guess he'll have to wait a few years :earboy2: At least he can go to most of them and he will really like that.

Thanks again,

Meredith

You'll also want to note that a 15-year-old at PI will need to be with his / her parents at all times. They can't just go wandering in and out of clubs without adult supervision. A 15-year-old will not be allowed into any of the clubs without an adult accompanying them.

No problem :D And WDSearcher makes a good point. I was always with my parents, they didn't let me wander off. 8trax has always been really fun with us, esp. since my parents raised my sister and I on 70's and 80's music. And even now that I'm older and can go off on my own, I still like that one the best! :smooth:

Just keep in mind that these are adult night clubs, with adult night club behavior.

Hmm, that's true. But in all the times we've been we've never seen anything over the top or too crazy. Mostly just people dancing and having a good time. My parents would have made me leave if there was anything too adult going on, but you make a good point. I'm sure there has been some un-child friendly behavior just none that I've seen. The only time we ever left a club was during gay days and that was because there was a group of about 3 guys grinding together in a very sexual way and my parents didn't want my sister to see that. But there were guy/girl groups doing it too. Okay, I talk too much. I'm done

Thanks for the info. I guess I didn't think this was such a hot issue, but I just saw the other thread on kids at PI, so I guess I was wrong. They have a teen club here in the good old midwest, and DS went about a month ago. He said there were girls there giving guys lap dances :earseek: Is my "little" boy too young to be seeing that going on? You bet....and you better believe that if my "little girl" were offering lap dances to teenage guys, I would have a fit. But the thing is, we can't shelter kids from everything. My DS is a smart kid who knows way too much about adult behavior. But he is honest with me and tells me things that his friends do, and that he thinks are wrong. To be honest, he probably won't even WANT to go if DH and I are tagging along :earboy2: All of my kids have seen drunken idiots at restaurants, etc, and they make a point of how stupid they look/act. DH and I don't drink, so I think this helps to reinforce that. And as a good parent, if I see something I don't want my kids to see, I will remove them from the situation.

Thanks again for all of your input.
