Three of us are going to have an adult night out. We want to do the CW and then the Adventure's Club, but thought we should eat an early dinner before a long night of fun. We are staying off site and taking a cab, down to Pleasure Island. Any suggestions for food? Also what time should we eat in order to make early show to CW? Thanks Bambi

I highly recommend Portabello Yacht Club which is right outside Pleasure Island. It offers grilled meat, fish, pasta, and gourmet thin crust pizza. It is a bit expensive but well worth it IMHO!

I don't know what time for CW, in fact I don't even know what CW is, so I can't help you there. The earliest you can dine at Portabello is now 5:00. They are no longer open for lunch.

we enjoy Wolfgang Puck, I love their trio of spring rolls, and the sushi. My husband and I generall order a few appetizers and share.

I know a lot of people don't like it but we ate at Planet Hollywood the last time we were there (August) and we had a really good meal. It was the first time for all of us to eat there and although the music was a little too loud we thought we definitely got our monies worth ~ did I spell that right? :(

If you want to walk over to DTD you could also try the Rainforest Cafe' or one of the other places right by the entrances to PI. I don't think you'll have a problem finding a nice place to eat...Good Luck and Have fun!!!

We have tried both Wolfgang and Portabello's and would recommend both.

We ate at Portabello for lunch and had their pizzas. They were excellent.

We ate at Wolfgang express and Cafe four different times during our last trip. We tired several things but feel in love with the pizzas.

Believe it or not, I'm usually not a big pizza person but these two were great!

CW is the Comedy Warehouse.

The first showtime there depends on the day. Thurs-Sat the first show is at 7; Sun-Weds the first show is at 8.

(I only know this because that is where I go when there is a party in the Adventurers Club and it doesn't open on time.)

There are a lot of restaurants around the Marketplace and the West Side. My favorites are Portobello Yacht Club and the House of Blues. I haven't been to Wolfgang Puck's yet (except for the Express) but I know a lot of people who really like it.

Thank you for all your help. I think it will be Portabello, do I need to make reservations? We are there on a Thursday, April 17th to be exact. Three of us. Also on another note, I heard CM night is Thursday nights, will it be too busy to enjoy ourselves? I told my DH this and he thought maybe Citywalk might be an alternative, but we are closer to Pleasure Island and taking cabs there and back. Bambi

Comedy Warehouse...duh. sorry it's been a while since DH and I have done PI.

As far as reservations....according to Birnbaum's "priority seating is suggested". We've gone in August and sometimes it's been mobbed and other times, it wasn't busy at all so better safe than sorry especially if you wan't to hit CW by 7:00.

We dine at Portabello every year and I agree that reservations are necessary, especially if you want to get to PI too.
