What Are Moderators?
Moderators oversee specific forums. They generally have the ability to edit and delete posts, move threads, and perform other manipulations. Becoming a moderator for a specific forum is usually rewarded to users who are particularly helpful and knowledgeable in the subject of the forum they are moderating.
This is a question that has been asked many times, and I am certain that if you do a search you will find a webmaster's response. With that in mind, moderators are chosen by the webmasters of the DIS, and are generally those who often lead forum discussions and assist posters by answering questions concerning not only Disney but the DIS as well. (For example, someone may wonder how to access the DIS chat area).
