Which one of these resorts would you choose and why? We have already stayed at AKL, Poly and GF. This is for two adults.

P.S. We loved being on the monorail line. Not trying to sway your vote, just giving you a little background of what we liked. :)

Well....since you have already stayed at the Poly... CR would be the next in line. Stayed there in January. Not bad. Get a Tower MK view.

2 adults and no kids I say Boardwalk all the way. Walk to Epcot boat to MGM. Hearing those horns in the morning from the Freindship boats and having a boardwalk view at night. Doesnt get much better than that. We came home with our little souvenir that trip. LOL.

I voted Yacht Club. We are 2 adults, no kids and it was our most enjoyable deluxe resort stay out of all.

I picked YC...we just returned for a fantastic stay there..we had the quiet pool and hot tub all to ourselves everyday. The BC was a chaotic loud nightmare compared to the YC. We are also 2 adults and no kids

If you are going around the holidays I would say WL..it is the most gorgeous decorated resorts.

I Love Boardwalk even if its not on the monorail line its just as convenient. Plus the rooms, lobby, dining, and the boardwalk itself are great. Just a short walk to EPCOT, a bit longer to MGM but you can use the boat. We like to catch the monorail from EPCOT to MK. The only bus we take is to AK.

contemporary!

convenience (walk to MK), castle view from balcony, modern theming!

Last year, we stayed at the Swan. It was wonderful, but just not a WDW property. The Swan does have great beds though! We loved the area so this time, we stayed at the Beach Club in July for a week. We had the best time there! Our room was right outside of Epcot so we just walked over the bridge to go in. We could see the fireworks and hear the music from Epcot too. The short boat ride to and from MGM was not bad and it was great to sit down after walking around MGM for the day. You can also walk to MGM easily, but just not as close as Epcot.

When I made the reservations, I requested a room close to Epcot so the three teenagers could easily access lots to do. I claimed to be staying there for them, but I soon realized I LOVED it!!! I never had to worry about their safety and they certainly made good use of the location. DS made so many trips to Epcot that DH quit asking where he was. He already knew. A romantic walk by the "beach" at night is great or just relaxing in the swings by the "beach". There were five of us and plenty of room for all.

The pool, which is only for guests of BC and YC, was a lot of fun. There was great music playing at the pool and several choices for snacks by the pool. I forgot the name of the man that greeted us every day, but he was just the nicest man.

The Boardwalk was easily accessible and lots of fun for all. The Bakery is always a great early morning treat. The SeaRacers that can be rented right outside the YC were a blast. Just look out for the bigger boats! Mousekeeping at BC was great. There was always someone cleaning around.

One of our favorite things was the CMC Character breakfast. Not only was the food good, but we met some of the nicest CMs and got several pictures of with the characters.

We've stayed at lots of the WDW resorts and this area is always my favorite because there is so much to do. When we are going to have extra time to relax, and not just run around the parks, I will definitely go back to BC!!

Hope I didn't bore you too bad, but as you can tell, I LOVED it!!!!

:) It looks like you've done a couple of MK resorts, so why not try the Yacht Club to get a taste of what life is like at the Epcot resorts? My husband and I just came back from the Yacht Club, and we really enjoyed ourselves. It's quiet without being stuffy, and access to Epcot, MGM and restaurants is great. If you feel like it, you can let your hair down at Storm Along Bay.

You know, I have never even considered staying at Contemporary, but now you've got me thinking. Our last trip was originally booked at the YC, then at the last minute I switched to Poly. :rolleyes1 DH always lets me decide the resort. Thanks for your replies - keep 'em coming. :thumbsup2

I voted Contemporary.:wizard: I would have voted for an Epcot area resort given that you said 2 adults (probably Boardwalk or Yacht Club) BUT you also said you like the monorail (me too!) and the Contemporary was just remodeled and every room is fresh and new as compared to the Epcot resort area. I have to admit the Contemporary isn't my favorite, but it looks like you're trying all the resorts one at a time? This would be a good time for it!

The Wilderness Lodge was also recently remodeled.

Have fun! Lots of great choices!

I would pick the GF but its not on there
so I picked the WL. We stayed there several times and it was amazing.
Good Luck

I voted for the Yacht Club, I just loved it there, walking distance to Epcot and MGM, gorgeous rooms, the great pool. I went over to the Beach Club to look around and the lobby there was insane in comparison and I like things a little calmer than that (I think Cape May has a lot to do with that).

I have stayed at Wilderness Lodge and found that very nice too. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the choices you have.

Yacht club
We had :
great service
great room
great location

'There was nothing that we didn't like about this resort. We would be staying here again but this time with have our daughter and would like to stay on the monorail.

What I find interesting about this poll (and others) is that the Yacht and Beach Club always seem to rank towards the bottom of Deluxe Resorts when it comes to the DIS, yet in almost all the guide books, they're rated as the best of the Deluxes.

Not having stayed there, it's tough to judge. We visited them last trip and they didn't do much for me. Then again, I'm from New England so it wasn't much different from resorts I've seen.

I would go w/ CR. Just b/c i love the monorail. Hope to get to stay there in Jan.

We love Wilderness, but because we've never stayed at YC/BC I voted YC.
The Epcot resort area is just a wonderful location. :earsboy:
