Please visit Figment

Saw some rumors that Dreamfinder might be returning -- at least Figment is back! We were delighted to find a Figment character to visit up in a small room past the "Honey I shrunk" movie, when we were there in May -- but you pretty much had to be looking for him. Would be great to have this attraction returned to the Imaginative space it once was. We got some great photos with Figment (alas no Photopass photog tho) and would also enjoy seeing Dreamfinder again. After all, isn't Imagination what Disney is all about?
If you're going soon --please go visit Figment, and "talk him up" so he continues appearances, and maybe leads to a re-imagineering of one of the most "under-done but with great potential" pavilions in Epcot. (It used to have neat, fun stuff upstairs).

As you can tell, Figment is my special guy! I think I first saw him in 1980 when my husband and I went to DW for our Honeymoon! I fell in love with HIM too! I am so glad that there is a costume character around...I really MUST find him while we are there to get some pictures with him. Everyone out there please say Hi for me! Helen

awesome. first post. anyway, yeah back when i went with my mom and siblings, my little brother was 5, and he loved Figment. we rode that over and over and over and he kept saying "PIGMENT!!!!!!!" so my mom bought him a stuffed Figment. He still has it in his room. Good memories. thanks i had forgotten about Dreamfinder.

Good advice, because if nothing else is certain, if folks don't visit Figment and don't "talk him up" he won't be there long.

I remember Figment from when I was little! Figment was my brother's absolute favorite! Are there any stores that sell Figment stuffed animals, or anything else with him on it? I would love to pick up a "special" gift for my brother on our upcoming trip. Nothing like reliving childhood memories!

I think Figment is a cute character. I know what he looks like.... but last January was my first trip to WDW since 1980... and I did not see "Dreamfinder" either time???

My son said Figment was his favorite character at EPCOT (and he met about a dozen at EPCOT). Probably because there was no line to see Figment. lol.

We went to see Figment the first week in June. He is my all time favorite character. LOL at my age I was all smiles as I had DD take my picture with him. I got to talking with Figment and the CM about how much we miss the "old" Figment ride and the Dreamfinder. Figment also is disappointed the Dreamfinder is not longer around. They are hoping he comes back. BTW there was no line to see Figment...so Figment lovers go see Figment!! He needs our support.
As for the ride..this is the 3rd version of the Figment ride and it is an improvement over the 2nd version but no where near the magic of the original ride.

My daughter fell in love with "Figament", as she called him, when she was about 6 years old. We rode that ride about 4 times in a row that time!!! She is married now and has her own children, and when we went a couple years ago with her, that was the first ride she just HAD to ride! Now she has infected her girls with "Figament"! I am going to WDW in August and when she found out she reminded me to go see "Figament" and to bring back all things "Figament" for her and her girls!!!!

I remember meeting Dream Finder when I was a little girl. He had a little Figment puppet on his hand that was very realistic! I'd love to see him return. I will be sure to check the Figment character greeting out.

Do you have to see the HISTA movie to meet Figment? I pretty much skip that movie now.

Oh I miss the old Figment ride..My kids really dont like the one they have now..I keep telling them how great it use to be and they give me a funny look..lol

We really wanted to see Figment on our trip last May, but everytime we went looking for him, he was nowhere to be found! It seemed like in May he was hard to find - he only had a couple of short hours during daylight hours that he was available.

I will be searching for him again in September!!

We'll be there in September. The kids love Figment and we always go on the ride, but have yet to meet Figment.
Does anyone know if Figment signs autographs? DD5 is always disappointed when we run across a character who can't write!

I think Figment is a cute character. I know what he looks like.... but last January was my first trip to WDW since 1980... and I did not see "Dreamfinder" either time???

In the original version of the Journey Into Imagination ride, he was the "host" and figment's friend. He taught little ones of the '80s how to use their imagination!

You could also find him outside of the ride with a very life-like puppt of Figment from time to time - He holds great sentimental value - kinda like 20K Leagues Under the Sea!
