This morning, I was able to get an ADR for breakfast at CRT on June 13th!!!! I will be taking DD(8) and DS (2) alone, as my DH and DS(17) will be heading over to IOA for the day. We have never eaten at CRT, please tell me what to expect for breakfast. I am so very excited!!

Thank you!!

Trish

I was there for a lunch - not breakfast - but I think I am the only one who does not like this restaurant at all. It was packed, the princesses all came at once so we were very rushed to interact with them, and the food was so-so.

We did the Norway Akershaus Princess breakfast and it was AMAZING!

You didn't say what time your breakfast is - arrive early for your ADR if you can. You'll get your picture (or the kids picture) taken with Cinderella first. Then upstairs to the restaurant. There will be 4 more princesses that will circulate through the dining room to meet you, sign autographs and pose for pictures. They also give out wands or swords to the kids.

For food, there was a basket of breads & sweet rolls, some fruit and juice and coffee to start with. Then they brought the plate of the main food - eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes and stuffed french toast. The food was good and we did not leave hungry.

You will have a great time! If your ADR is before the park opens, go ahead and arrive at the gate early, they will let you in to the park early and you can head to the castle (stopping for pictures along the way if you like).

We did both Akershus and CRT on our last trip - and I preferred Akershus myself. I thought we were rushed through the meal at CRT and I didn't feel that way at Akershus. I thought the Akershus meal was a more relaxed pace and the food was a little better (although no stuffed french toast!)

CRT breakfast is WONDERFUL!!!!!!!

(In My Opionion)

We do this every trip (except for our first, I didn't know about it back then.)

We love the food at breakfast, the potatoes are so good and the stuufed french toast is great!!!

I love just being in the castle, but also love seeing the princesses and never feel rushed. In fact on our last trip (November), I had ordered my girls the slipper dessert (yes, for breakfast) and we were the last ones there while they were eating every last drop of it. I said we should hurry up and our waitress heard me and said, "no, you take your time, no hurry."

The pictures are included and are beautiful and while we tipped for the dessert and a little extra for the great service, tip is included.

Lots of girls dress up, so yours might like to do that. Also, get tehre early to take photos before the parks fill up. We often get photos on Main Street and in front of the casstle with no one else in them.

Maybe we are the minority (though I doubt it as it is so hard to get into) but we ADORE it there and plan to go every trip in our future.

As for Akerhaus, we did enjoy it there very much too (we did dinner) but nowhere near as mcuh as CRT.

We did both CRT for breakfast and the Princess Storybook Dinner at Norway in August of 07. With out a doubt CRT was a far more enjoyable experience for our family. My two girls 3 and 10 at the time loved it. The princesses were awesome and eating in the castle was so magical. We had a blast. The breakfast food was very good and the service great. Both girls loved the wishing ceremony.

In Norway we did not like the food at all. We felt very rushed and the princesses moved very quickly. The place was packed! The girls had fun here too but not as much fun as they did at CRT. The day we went Snow White was a bit grumpy (she must of had a bad day I guess) my little one picked up on it and to this day does not like Snow White :( My older one picked up on it too. My older dd was suppose to get an adult portion of what she ordered off of the kids menu. Well let me tell you it was a tiny portion not enough to feed a bird and I can not imagine it was an adult size portion. My husband and I did not like our food either.

If we go back to Norway again it would be for breakfast.

For our next trip in June 09 we already have our reservations for our CRT breakfast but we are skipping Norway this year.

Anyhow congrats on getting that ressie! It is a hard one to get so enjoy the fun you and the kids are going to have a blast! Eating at the castle is lots of fun! We'll be there in June as well! From 6/16 to 6/23!

Our breakfast in 2005 at CRT was wonderful! The food was yummy and they brought lots of it. The service was very attentive. When we went Fairy Godmother was downstairs and she spent so much time with my dd, they had a very special conversation. To this day, that is my most cherished memory and I recognize that FG whenever I see her. The characters were also very sweet to her and did not rush at all.

We have never been to Askershus so don't have any insights.
