We will be arriving on property at about noon on Saturday. (we are driving)
I want to get the resort check in, drop the bags, and hop a bus to MK.

We are going to be exchanging our GAD vouchers for a credit to renew our DVC annual pass.

Then hop the monorail to TT and catch the shuttle to th Richard Petty Driving Experience for DH to do the free annual pass ride along. Afterwards I'd like to take the shuttle back to TT and catch the bus to DD to unwind with dinner and maybe some shopping. Then back to the room early for rope drop at MK on Sunday.

Do you think that this will work?

Sounds like a lot of traveling, but it could work. I would personally use my own car for some of that.

On the GAD voucher thing - I believe you have to actually use your GAD ticket to enter the park before you can upgrade it to anything else. I haven't done it, but I read that here before. So you would have to enter the MK with it, then upgrade.

Sounds like a good plan to me. I have yet to take advantage of the Richard Petty Experience yet and I know we are coming up on the ending date for the offer. Shame on me as I only live 15 minutes away. :headache:

That's what I read too. Turn in the voucher, get a one day ticket, use it to enter the park, upgrade to the DVC AP.

well think you can get it upgraded at guest services - just not the regular ticket booth.

you can get an annual pass at the regular ticket booth now.

I would just drive your own car. You will spend a lot of time waiting on buses. Unless something has changed you there is not bus from TTC to DTD.

Sounds like you're going to be busy. I have a question about the free ride on the Richard Petty Experience. Is that a limited time promotion or is that if you get an annual pass? How long does it take to do the ride along and do you have to schedule it in advance? I have a pass to ride that was a gift but don't know if I have time to use it when I go there next month.

My understanding is that it expires on 3/31 for anyone who has an annual pass. It is the ride-along and is really maybe 30 min from the time you walk in until the time you walk out. It is a walk up/ first come first served kind of thing. I also read that someone had done it and the CMs said that a lot of people had taken advantage of it but they were not buying the add on stuff. Apparently, they don't think that it will happen again because there was not a profit from it.

Thanks to everyone who has given their input. I know it will be a lot of here and there but this is all we are doing on Saturday. We have been blessed with bus transportation (knock on wood) from AKV and rarely had a wait or had to stand for seating, and unless the monorail is packed the only possible long wait would be getting to DTD. We could always take a taxi from TT if there is no bus.

The only reason we have decided to "sit back and let them do the driving" is because DH will have just driven 12 hours straight. :scared1: To be truthful I just plain don't like to drive. I have and 1 hour commute each way every day I work. If someone else will drive I am more than happy to let them do it.

I have heard mixed stories about using the GAD and upgrading. We are just prepared for whatever happens If we go to the window and they can do it there great. If we have to go in and upgrade at guest services that is fine too. We will get a quick glance at the castle and maybe even a snack from the main street bakery.

Since the rest of our trip is very scheduled we are open to let what happens happen that day. For me this day will be - no schedule, no ADR, only a vague general plan for DH :woohoo: -no schedule, no ADR, only a vague general plan. I am always willing to be flexible and I don't melt down if we have to change something but I like to at least start with an idea. DH would play bus roulette every day and be happy with it.

Makes sense to me ,,only glitch is there is no bus from TT to DTD hop on the monorail to the first resort and get a bus from there.

If you have a car there, I would definitely take that to your destinations that are other than parks.
