I plan on using the parent swap (Or is it baby swap????) while we are at WDW in October. Do we all go into the ride and wait at the boarding area? Or does one person ride while the other waits outside at the exit? Does the parent exiting then tell a CM about the swap? I am a little confused as to how this all works! :( Thanks everyone!

It all depends on the rides. Each ride has a different way of handling it.

But overall:

Go up to ride. Tell first CM you see at the entrance that you're doing baby swap. The CM will tell you where you need to wait and then they'll give you a switch pass (looks just like a fast pass).

Then you wait in line while the other parent waits at the designated area (exits, etc). When you're done, the other parent will take the switch pass, and go thru the fast pass line (if it's a fast pass ride).

It fairly simple, and just follow the CM's instructions, you should be fine. We do this all the time.

And I thought that I could exchange my screaming 4yo for a mild mannered child!!! :teeth: No such luck...

Ask outside of each ride since it differs from ride to ride. For most of the rides the second parent waits outside the ride and when it is their turn they either go through the fast pass line or through the exit. Hmmm, now that I think about it it seems that the second parent always goes through the fast pass line. Used to be that the exit was used, though, but that was probably before fastpass. What a help I am! :teeth:
