Please tell me how my points can be used

Really, no matter how many times someone patiently explains it, I just can't remember!

In a June UY, I have 63 points for BWV/SSR borrowed from 2014. 50 are SSR, 13 are BWV.

I am intending to rent them out. I know they can only be transferred for a member's 2014 reservation, starting June 2014. Other than that, I just cannot remember what the reservation limitations and possibilities are as far as location and date.

If they are points borrowed from a June, 2014 Use Year, they were used to make a reservation between June 1, 2013 and December, 2013 (you could not have made a reservation using borrowed 2014 points except for those dates) - and you have now cancelled that reservation.

The points borrowed from your June, 2014 Use Year (50-SSR, 13-BWV) now reside in your June, 2013 Use Year and may be used to make reservations for dates between June 1, 2013 and May 31, 2014. They cannot be banked and cannot be transferred.

You can certainly use them to make a reservation \(and subsequently rent that reservation to someone else) for stays between those dates.

You are presently in your June, 2012 Use Year - so it's possible that you really borrowed points from your 2013 Use Year. If that is the case, then the points cannot be banked or transferred and can only be used for reservations between today and May 31, 2013. They will expire after that date.

I guess I don't understand. You have a contract at SSR for 50 points and another at BWV for only 13 points?

They may also be borrowed for reservations from June 1, 2013 - May 31, 2014. Once borrowed, they can nol onger be banked if you cancel the reservation they were borrowed to make. They cannot be borrowed except to make a reservation.

Sorry for the confusion. I have 150 BWV points, most of which I already rented, less 13. The remaining 50 are SSR points. All remaining 63 points are still in the 2014 UY. So, according to your facts, they can be borrowed and used to secure a reservation (by me, then rented out) from June 2013 to May 2014, right?

What confuses me is the whole home resort window thing. Only 13 are from BW, the other 50 are SSR. I am assuming when I attempt to rent them I will need most of the points to secure a rez for someone, more than 13. So, are the options limited due to the different home resorts? What if someone wants AKV, or BLT? What are the options? So sorry if I am acting like a confused child with all this. It is so hard for me to keep it all straight.

I may still not understand. You have already rented all but 13 of your June, 2014 BWV points and 50 or your 2014 SSR points for reservations already made between June 1, 2013 and December, 2013?

If so, I would STRONGLY suggest demanding payment in full for any reservation where you will need to borrow those points into your 2013 Use Year since the points would remain in your 2013 Use Year if the reservation were to later be cancelled due to non-payment by the renter. They could not be banked for use beyond May 31, 2014 and cannot be used for any reservation prior to June 1, 2013.

You could use the 13 BWV points for a reservation at BWV 11 months in advance and the 50 SSR points 11 months ahead at SSR. If these are from contracts combined under a unique membership number, they may be combined for reservations at any DVC resort 7 months before arrival, giving you 63 points available for rental. If they are separate memberships you could only combine them by transferring points between those memberships.
