I was mentioning to dh about a suprise christmas trip next year would be for the kids and he was up on the idea but what i need to know is hows the weather and truly how nice and crowded it is :confused3

I think it was said that the most crowded time of the year was from Thanksgiving to Christmas. Im not 100% on this though. :surfweb:

Actually Thanksgiving week and Christmas week are packed. In between the crowds are quite low. This is what all the experts say at least.

:goodvibes We are leaving Dec 13th...She has a half day of school and we won't tell here where we are going till we pick her up! :goodvibes

She will only miss 3 days of school and we will avoid crowds!!!! :grouphug:

Christmas week is the busiest week of the whole year!!!

I cleared our trip with her Teacher and she is so excited to help us pull this off! She even said she won't send much homework and try and work it in to the beginning of the school week! :woohoo:

We are going to MVMCP and then added a short 3 night cruise to the Bahamas... :sunny:

So I say go early in December if you can!! Airfare and room rates will be much cheaper and crowds will be wayyyyyyy better.... :thumbsup2 a Touring plan chart has our crowd level as a 4 and Christmas week as a 10!!

WDW at christmas time is "breathtaking". We have gone at the end of November/beg. of December and have gone in mid December. I remember each time hating to leave to come home. The decorations are just wonderful. Everyone is in just a great mood and the spirit of christmas seems to come alive. Enjoy your trip!!! :)

The crowds are unbeliveable(if you are talking about Christmas week)!!

Christmas next year is on a Tuesday so from Sat 12/22 to Jan 5-6 is going to be crammed!

You can still have a great time, you just have to know how to plan and be at the parks at opening!!

I love it, it is the only time we go, even with the crowds, it is still magical, it's disney

We were there this past Christmas from Dec 23rd until the 30th and let me tell you, it's VERY CROWDED. The Magic Kingdom was a nightmare even before Christmas, Christmas Eve, you couldn't move.
Christmas day we spent at MGM at it wasn't bad at all. The day after Christmas it gets totally out of hand. Now, it's something to see but I would recommend getting there the week before Christmas and leaving the day after.

I've never been the week of Christmas but if i'd have to hazard a guess as to how busy it is i'd say it would be like announcing on the tannoy at a hockey game 'free beer' :lmao:

But I cannot imagine a more magical place to spend Christmas, hope you have a fab time!
