I am planning on staying at HRH for the 1st time. I have stayed at RPR and love it but this time I am splitting the stay with HRH. So HRH fans can you tell me what makes HRH special? I am a Loews gold member so I am hoping to book a garden view and get an upgrade when I call and make my reservation for 12/07. If available is the HRH upgrade usually a poolview or a deluxe room. Can anyone give any suggestions as to good room requests? I really appreciate any advice you can give me.
Thanks!!!!!!!:)

HRH has the shortest walk to the park (that was the best part for me)

We've stayed at all 3 resorts, but HRH the most. It's our DS's fav., & he usually wins. To be fair, we don't put up much of an argument. ;) As Bubba's mom noted, the quick walk to the parks & CW is enough to keep us going back there. Also, the rooms are bigger.

The pool is great! It's very lively, & there's always something going on. Then again, if you're like one of my sisters & like to lay by the pool, but not get wet, it may not appeal to you as much. :p

The biggest improvement, in our opinion, is in the Kitchen restaurant. We've eaten every meal possible there, & always thought it was okay. We never were that impressed with breakfast though. I'm pleased to report that our breakfast last visit was wonderful. A huge improvement over previous visits.

As for the view, if you don't get one of the higher floors, your view will most likely be of the shrubbery. We don't have as many options as those w/o pets do, so we've stopped worrying about the view. We now go for a room closer to the "short cut" gate.

If you're there when they are hosting Velvet Sessions in the bar, you can hear the music from the common areas. HRH is usually more lively in general than the other resorts.

I'm sure I can think of other great things about staying there. If noone else adds any, I'll put on my thinking cap & post some more. :teeth:

We booked a garden view and were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a pool view. Nice perk. The staff was wonderful and gave us free passes to the Kitchen for breakfast in honor of my husband's birthday. It was a great breakfast. The room was nice sized and fit the pack and play in the corner. I think I liked it better than RPR which is where we typically stay.

Thanks for the great responses.I booked a room today for 5 nights in December . Since I am a Loews gold member I was able to get a Deluxe king room for $191.20 with AAA. I am really looking forward to my 1st stay at HRH.
Thanks again!!!!!!!:)

I'm sure you'll love it! The short walk to the parks & CW really spoils you. Let us know, if you have any other questions.

i favor hrh because:

room layout
shortest walk to the parks
free coffee refills at the coffee place on bottom floor
decor of the rooms
friendly staff
smaller building than the other 2
music and atmosphere....once in your wing/room you don't hear the music
emergency help phones at every corridor in the building
kewl pool
cabanas
newly renovated...can you say big plasma tv's.....
helpful concierge desk in lobby for all guests
if you have pool view, a great view of the parks. i leave my curtains open at night and use the park lights as a night light....
special perks .......at least i got a few of them.....

when you book, tell them then you have the loews first card for the free upgrade. if you wait until you check in, they might not have the room upgrade available. it will be guaranteed for you if you make the request when you book.
