Please tell me all about it......

DTD Question........

I love scrapbooking. I about had a coronary when I learned that there is a scrapbooking store in DTD. Can somebody who has been there please tell me all about it? I am unable to find more than 2 or 3 photos on the web and I am unable to find many details about what I can find inthe store.

I am not a scrapbooker but from what I recall...
They have Disney themed books, paper, stencils, etc....
The coolest thing that I remember are the scissors that cut a "mickey" border on paper (like pinking shears).

Don't get too excited, it's not much of a store, but just a part of a larger store that has their entire scrapbooking line there in one place. I was pumped, too, when I learned of it, but then I visited =) You can find their scrapbooking products in other parts of the World as well. I bought scissors at Magic Kingdom that are the same there, paper at World of Disney, etc. It's not like your typical scrapbooking store, with loads and loads of embellishments, tables, examples, die cuts, etc.

But when at DTD, it's def worth a stop, but be sure and keep your eye out at other stores at the World, as most carry the stuff. They carry theme park stickers and papers, the mickey head scissors, scrapbooks with the year and such. Some were worth the $, since they were specifically WDW items, but for a Disney scrapbook, you can find lots of character stuff at your local store alot cheaper =)

I bought some of my scrapbooking stuff at Mouse Gears at Epcot, and the rest I got right in the gift shop at POP Century!! Check the store where you are staying. Im sure they have it there!!

I agree....I was soooo excited , but very disappointed. I was able to find more Disney stuff home than there. Check your resort gift shop also. I did buy a beautiful 12x12 album while there (and some scrappin' stuff....) You can get some things (mostly "sets" or "packs" of things), but not a lot. I would recommend www.mousememories.com to purchase Disney scrapbooking supplies--and your local craft store!!

I agree it was sort of a letdown because the scrapbooking stores from where I live carry more Disney products than the store in Disney. But if you don't have access to Disney scrapbooking materials in your area then you should definitely check it out!

No need to make a special trip to the store. They sell the same stuff at World of Disney, stores in all the parks. You can also find it in the resort gift shops. You might want to ask on the cooking and crafting board for more places to find Disney themed papers, etc. I use www.mousememories.com

Safetymom, what store are you talking about? The store at DTD had way more scrappin' stuff than the World of Disney and the resort. I found a few different things at the resort I didn't find at WoD or DTD store.....if you have the time to leisurly shop, hit DTD & WoD stores and your resort. (A scrappers curiousity will always get the better of them!) You can buy a lot of things from local craft stores that are offered at mousememories.com, but sometimes it's more expensive (+shipping....). Just my $.02

I have managed to find all of the same scrapbooking supplies elsewhere at WDW. It's nice to visit the scrapbook store but nothing to go out of your way for.

The papers all come in a kit so if you want something different you may want to get your paper elsewhere.

I mentioned Mouse Memories but there are other places that carry WDW and Disney papers, etc. Trust me I have checked them all out. I also got to see all the papers, etc. at HIA and ACCI.
