Thinking about this - it will be 2 adults and we'll be on the DDP. Is it worth 2 credits? How's the food and atmosphere? Please give me the good, the bad and the ugly.

Thanks. :)

Hello fellow up state NYer... we are just north of SYracuse!! We have been to Cinderella Royal table a few times... always for breakfast... but we are going to dinner there in May.... so I can only comment on breakfast... we LOVE it... we think it is something you should try at least once... for us it has been more but we enjoy the food and the characters.... my DD has some allergies and they always are very accomodating... service has always been great... we have actually had the same server the last three times we were there... the photo you get is nice also... is it worth 2TS credits... well probably not... but we like the atmosphere and usually arrive in Orlando late at night so we use that credit plus one other...so its not like we are giving up a day of food... good luck with your decision...

We had dinner at the Castle

The Good:
1. I am glad that we went there. There is something nice about knowing we ate in the castle.

2. I liked the rosemary chicken I had. The mashed potatoes were very good. I really liked my meal. My husband liked his salad(which is od that he even commented on the salad:confused3 )

3. We have pictures with Cinderella

The Bad:
1. As I said I am glad we went but I wouldn't do it again as I do not think it is worth 2T. It really isn't all that nice inside. I thought the ambiance would be better. It wasn't. But I am glad we did it once...does that make sense?

2. The food was good but It was just scooped on our plates. No presentation at all. Not like other disney dining options. Good thing it was good because I was worried when they set our plates down in front of us.

3. I thought the ambiance would of been better! After all it is the Castle. Oh wait I already said this...I guess that is a big one.

If you have little girls they all seemed to like it. It is probably very fairy tale like for the girls. I have boys so they could of cared less. It was me who wanted to have a chance to eat in the castle. I am glad I did but wouldn't do it again.

Let us know what you decide.

that should be mentioned is that breakfast and lunch are different than dinner in more ways than food. Cinderella is always downstairs to meet her guests. There are pictures taken and one is chosen by her staff and presented to you (multiple copies) during the meal. At breakfast and dinner there are four princesses and/or leading ladies that walk around the room talking to the diners, taking pictures and signing autographs. At dinner the Fairy Godmother and Suzy and Perla do a little show. They may stop at tables but it's not always so.

The food is pre-plated so the meal tends to move fairly quickly. The dining room and reception room are typical Disney in that they have a lot details that take some looking to notice.

We do lunch. The menu hasn't changed in some years so we have had three of the five entrees. The pork tenderloin and salmon were good, but my favorite was Major Domo's Favorite Pie. Think an upscale shepherds' pie. Very tasty.

Usually children are given swords and wand depending on sex and wishing stars for all. I have heard of adults getting these. I haven't asked for them myself though.

We went for breakfast in January. I thought it was awesome. My DS6 thought it was alright. For me it is more mental. Eating the castle was cool and I thought the atmosphere was very nice. Even walking up the stairs like you are going to the dungeon was cool. The food was pretty good. It was a pretty quick meal as we were the first section that the princess' visited. To be in the park right at opening was also nice. Overall, I loved having done it. I probably would not do it again unless I had some girls that wanted to see a princess. It's just too pricy for me. I could be talked into it again though.

It was nice dinner experience, not something we would do at every trip, but definately worth trying.

I have to agree with the previous poster who said they were glad they did it but would not do it again as a 2ts credit. The show was nice and the picture to take home was a bonus bus It was my least favorite meal while we ate at WDW last year. Just my opinion! Hope this helps!:confused3

While we have only been to the breakfast, this is my favorite character meal. The food was really good. Love the sausage and the French toast thing with berries. A couple of buts: I have a daughter who was (and still is a bit) of a Princesses fan. We also never used the dining plan so don’t know if it was worth 2 TS credits.

If you are interested I did a review with pics of our last visit over New Years. It is at http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=30009646&postcount=40 about half way down.

If you've never done it, I'd give it a try at least once. We did breakfast on the DDP (we're 2 adults as well) and enjoyed it. It wasn't the greatest food we've ever had, but it wasn't horrible either. You're paying for the experience and to that end, they deliver. I say give it a try!

I'm on the tried it once, it was OK, don't plan to do it again for awhile bandwagon. We had actually gone for breakfast and the food was good. Even though we were on the DDP, we chose to pay out of pocket for this meal (it made sense to us to use those 2 TS credit for a different meal instead of for one breakfast).

Little girls who are into princesses will think its cool, heck I thought it was neat enough, but I think it couldn't live up to the hype (the ADR is hard to get--it must be so awesome--everyone is doing it hype).

So, if you have never been & are interested in trying it--go for it. If you are on the fence about it or have trouble getting an ADR, then don't do it and don't feel bad about not doing it.
