Okay... here's my dilemma....

My DH and I have a timeshare in Orlando. We tried to book it for our trip and were told that due to a "new policy" we must pay for 2 years of maintenance fees before we can reserve our timeshare. I'm not sure where I was when this policy was made because I didn't hear anything about it. Needless to say, we won't be staying there in April.

Anyhow, we have 5 adults and 2 children (ages 3 and 1) going in April and now we need an affordable place to stay. I have seen a few threads about Windsor Palms and I am very interested. Where exactly is Windsor Palms located? How does renting the condo work? With the above mentioned people, can I rent a two bedroom or should it be a three bedroom? What places (or websites) would you suggest that I rent through? Are there additional charges involved and finally, would you please give me your opinion on the place? Is it clean? Well maintained? What amenities does it have? Any information that you can give us will be helpful. Thank you!

Windsor Palms is wonderful. The complex is very clean and very well maintained.

With your group, I would personally recommend 3 bedrooms. The problem with putting 6 in a 2-bedroom is that 2 people sleep on the sofa bed in the living room. With a 3-bedroom, everyone has a bedroom and anyone who wants to stay up late or get up early can use the living room without disturbing anyone else. The price difference is not that big and well worth it.

The complex is a gated community of 2 and 3 bedroom condos, 3 bedroom townhomes and 3-6 bedroom pool homes. There is a nice community pool, game room, exercise room, basketball and tennis courts.

WP is 10-15 minutes from Disney and very close to shopping and dining. There is a nice strip mall with supermarket right at the end of the street.

I found the unit we rented at:

We paid $90/nite for a 3-bed condo in November. Here is the unit we rented:

The owners were extremely nice and provided great service. The unit was very nicely furnished and equipped.
