Thinking of adding this ASAP. Please tell me about it! We wanted to do the Plus dining but our budget changed so this is second best!

Pros? Cons? Are there other things to eat besides burgers and chicken??

We had the QSDP last July. We didn't have one hamburger the whole trip. And even though Earl of Sandwich is one of our favorite places to eat, we didn't use our credits there. We went to Wolfgang Puck Express several nights for pasta, salad and pizza. The surprise meal for us was lunch at the bakery in Norway. The CS includes soup or salad, a huge sandwich and your choice from the pastry case...the pretzel is huge. We ended up saving the pretzel and having it for breakfast the next day. Plus the refillable mug is included in the QSDP.

Thank you for responding!

Did you also do any TS meals and pay OOP? I think this is why we are hesitant b/c we really wanted to do a few Character Meals and if we do the QSDP we won't.

I haven't had a burger at WDW in years. There are so many options!

Wolfgana Puck Express at the Marketplace in DTD, Sunshine Seasons in The Land in EPCOT, and Flame Tree Barbeque in the Animal Kingdom are our favorites.

We have done the CS plan before and like it. We arent tied down to ADR's and have more freedom. There are plenty of places to get stuff other than burgers and chicken. Check out www.allears.net for the menus.
We always plan 2 oop ts meals...usually breakfast as it is cheaper...and still come out cheaper than paying for the regular plan. We get the full benefit of the CS plan, a couple of extra meals, double the snacks and a refillable mug for cheaper than the cost of the regular plan. Its a win win situation for us!
On the days when we dont have an oop breakfast planned, we use a snack credit for breakfast. By paying oop for 2 meals, this also gives us 2 days when we will have 3 meals as we use the CS credits for breakfast on those days. Clear as mud, right:lmao:

We didn't do any character meals but we did eat OOP at Kona Cafe one night. My DH used up the CS credits by eating a full breakfast a couple of mornngs. You could have a breakfast character meal and it's less expensive OOP.

Thank you for the replies!

Right now we are torn on doing the QSDP or paying OOP and winging it as we go. Today is my last day to add it on so I really need to decide.

We really wanted to do some TS meals but I realize they are not absolutely necessary. If we do the QSDP we will not pay OOP for any meals (at least I don't think so), so we'd skip TS meals this trip. If we pay OOP we'll do 3 TS meals and then go from there with the rest.

This will be our 1st trip on QSDP, we have always done the regular DP in the past. Kinda nervous but we are taking our 3- 11 yrs old this trip and not sure that we would want to have TS everyday. For us (6 people) to upgrade to the DP it would be about $450 so we are going to do the QSDP + a character breakfast at Tusker House with tax and tip about $150 and then a lunch at Sci Fi----burger and onion rings-YUM! I am figuring about $100-$125 (depending on who all is wanting a shake. lol). The 2 QS meals we save by paying OOP for TS will be used on our last day at DTD..... WPE for lunch and then we will grab EOS to take with us to the airport and eat while we are waiting for the plane. I am taking breakfast bars from home for breakfast and if anyone wants to grab a muffin with their snack credit then they can sure do that. We are planning early lunches around 11 and dinner around 5, then fill in with snacks. This is our plan (fingers crossed it works), we may end up having more QS meals left since 2 of the 11 yr olds are girls and they eat like birds, so we will see how it goes.

Good luck and however you go, here is some :tinker:pixie dust magic that it works perfectly for you.:goodvibes.

Let us know what you decide!

We enjoy the QSDP especially with kids. It takes a bit of traveling and planning but we loved going to some of the resort restaurants for some of our meals. There are some great CS resort restaurants. We LOVED POR cs restaurant with make your own pasta. Coronado Springs has an amazing cs restaurant area. Both of those resorts are set up like food courts so easy to find something for everyone. Also, we loved Captain Cooks at Poly for breakfast (and close to mk for convenience). It's also a nice break from the parks for a little while. Have fun!
