Please tell me about the Buena Vista Palace

We decided to start our WDW trip two days early!!! Got a great rate of $89.00 for Friday and Sat after Thanskgiving. We dont plan on hitting the parks just Downtown Disney and resort hopping.

So please tell me all about it! I have never stayed at a non disney resort before. How is the transportation, rooms, food??? Thank to all who respond!

We stayed there a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it. If you get theme park view you can see both Illuminations and Wishes from your balcony - request a room higher up and the view is great!

Beds were exceptionally comfortable. Rooms were really nice and very modern. Has a few Disney touches - a full Disney gift shop and a character breakfast, I believe on Sundays. Disney's top 7 must see's is on TV with Stacey! We only ate food from their take away shop, but did have room service one day and it was fine. Very nice pool.

Just a walk across the street to DTD. We had a car, so we didn't use their transportation. I think they shared a bus with other DTD hotels, but not sure.
BVP is my favorite off site hotel.

I have stayed there many times. I saw go to tripadvisor.com for the best reviews on this place. That is what I did.
