at least I think that's what it is called! Tell me about the atmosphere, what to expect, the menu maybe. Thanks! :goodvibes

but have ADR's for Sci Fi in March. I got all my info from allearsnet.com. Hope that helps!

We went to Sci Fi in October, despte reading a lot of negative reviews, but we really enjoyed it, so much so, that it's a definite for our next trip in August. The atmosphere is amazing - but then we don't live in the US and have no experience of drive in movies. We also thought the food and service to be very good (a lot of folks say that the food is bland). So big thumbs up from us - DH even rates it as his new all time favorite (well that and Marrakesh)

I know a lot of people don't care for the Sci Fi, but we went there last year and all 3 of my DS's(ages 3, 8 and 10) loved it. That was the only request for this year -they had to go back! I don't remember the food being horrible or outstanding, but we had an awesome time! The food was a little pricy but we were on the DDP so we didn't mind! You should give it a try!!!

I've been to both and love both! I'll be eating at both again when I go back in September!! :teeth: 50's Prime Time Cafe is just like eating back in the 50's. The servers are all called "Aunt___" or "Uncle___". It's like you are all part of the family. You have to set your own table. You get "yelled at" if you put your elbows on the table or if you don't finish your vegetables (that happened to me!) It's a fun atmosphere and the food is good too. They have family type food. Fried chicken, meatloaf, sandwiches... Sci Fi I see that people have commented on already. That one is like you are at a drive in theater. You sit in actual cars to eat your meal! So fun!! :goodvibes Have fun at either or both!!!

50's Prime Time Cafe is one that everyone must try at least once. It is so much fun. The atmostphere is themed like you are sitting in your family kitchen back in the 50's. The servers are such a hoot, especially if you are willing to play along. I was not that impressed with the food, it was so-so, but it is definitely worth going there.

Sci Fi Dine In is another fun one. It is themed as if you are sitting in a car watching a movie at a drive in theater. It is dark inside, but really cool. We enjoyed our meal, especially the artichoke dip appetizer. This place is a lot of fun too.

Only Disney could have restaurants as neat as these!! :) :thumbsup2

We loved the Sci-Fi last August too! The "car" we sat in had 3 seats of 2, DS's sat in the front, DH & I sat in the middle and we had a nice young couple share our car in the backseat. The boys (ages 6&4 at the time) were enthralled with watching the movie clips and DH & I just thought it was a hoot! Everyone wants to go back this year! We went for an early dinner and I got the reuben sandwich which was to die for! I've been craving them ever since ......

We ate there for the first time in December, and we all enjoyed it very much. The food was good. We had cheeseburgers/fries and finished it off with hot fudge sundaes. My girls (11 & 15) enjoyed sitting in the front seat while DH and I sat in the back. The movie clips were a little cheesy, but it just adds to the whole experience.

At PTC depends alot on your server,if you get one into the role and yucks it up with you it is a hoot. Not much of a good time if server is a wet blanket. We have had both, the food has always been good.Sci-Fi we love for a great burger and shake, cool themeing. :goodvibes :) :wave2:

We love the Sci-Fi, it's a must do every trip. The atmosphere is very retro and fun. You sit in booths shaped like cars from the 50's. You feel like you're outside at a Drive-in. You watch old trailers and clips from cheesy Sci-Fi movies, and even those fun Drive-in commercials. The ceiling is lit like the night sky.

Its mostly burgers and fries, although they have other entries. The milkshakes are really good.
