I see a lot of people asking what one people like better. Could someone tell me what Ohana's and Whispring Canyon are like? It sounds like there are things for children to do at each? Is there one better for younger children? Thanks!

Whisperiong canyon is by far more kid friendly over all. Its noisy, busy, people are yelling, banging things, and by far a wonderful experience. They have pony express rides on the hour, kids get a toy horse and run around the walkways. Ask your sever for ketchup and they will yell and 10 bottles of ketchup appear at your table from other guest. Its a great experience for kids and adults as well, just dont expect a nice quite dinner. Ohana, in my opinion has wonderful food. The setting is much much more subdued, views of MK, and seven seas lagoon depending on where you sit. You will not go hungry in this place, but be sure to save room for dessert, it is very good! SO for younger children, Whispering Canyon over Ohana, but for food, Ohana over WC. Hope that helps

Ohana has a set meal, appetizers, salad, potatoes then skewers of grilled meats and bread pudding for dessert imo it's less than stellar food as our meat was very dried out and service not good. it has kind of a set show time, in other words they do races singing ect at a certain time more like an interactive show

wcc has an all you can eat skillet and also you can order from a regular menu. we like the breakfast but not dinner skillet and thought the normal plated meals to be very good. i think wcc is better is anyone is at all picky since you get to choose your meal. the entertainment varied here depending on your particualr server. some are totally "on stage" and there is a lot of horse play( one guy had to ride a hobby horse around the lobby in order to get a refill on waffles) but our dinner server was laid back. the stuff is fun to watch if your server is not rowdy but some have been disappointed if they are not in on the action( that doesn't bother me  ) it isn'at a "show" persay but just clowning around along with stick horse races, etc

i think my almost 2 gbaby will have fun on the wcc races but wouldn't get the coconut( ohana ) race concept.

We ate at both places for the first time on our recent trip. Loved them both! Our daughters (ages 11, 9, 8, & 5) liked Whispering Canyon better for the activities, but you can't go wrong with either one. Enjoy!

Hi!! Both are fun restaurants, so you will be happy with either. In order to have a real good time at WCC you really need a good server. There are some really funny things that could happen to you, but again they may not. If you have read the spoilers then you know what I am talking about. We have gone for dinner and everything funny that possible could, did! Then our last trip we went for breakfast and the fun seemed to be around us but never came our way. The food is 0.k. but I was not blown away!! Ohana has a great view of the MK, and it is a fun atmosphere. They call all the kids out for races and contests and give out gummy worms at the end. Again, if you have a great server it really makes a difference. Ours brought us extra gummie worms, caramel to go(my old fave), and just made our experience exceptional. The app's are really good but the meat I find either undercooked or overcooked. We are going back to both places this year , so I guess I liked them both.

Just wanted to see if any other replies. It seems I can't go wrong but wondering with 4 &6 year old girls what one will be more fun...
Thank you!

My son (3 at the time) enjoyed Ohana. They had a cute parade with shakers and some drums. I would recommend it.

Both of these are must do's on every trip for our family. WCC is so much fun for the kids. But I also thought Ohana was kid friendly too. They were great with DD 3 at the time. They have cocnut races and hula hoop contests. The food is very good IMO. WCC has good food also. Thekids race around the restaurant on stick horses and if you get a good waiter it is alot of fun. They are both noisy places to eat. I would have a hard time deciding between the 2.

Sounds like we can't go wrong with either. Thanks for the reply!
