Please tell me about moving from one resort to another

We have split our stay before but we always just move everything ourselves since we have our car. I am thinking we might ask Disney to move us this time. How much of a hassle is it? Any charge? How much did you tip? How long did it take? Would you do it again??? Thanks for any help!

I have changed resorts in the middle of a stay several time, and have always had Disney move my luggage for me. My most recent experience was moving my luggage from the Polynesian to the Beach Club in August. I had the bellmen pick up my luggage in the morning before heading to the Magic Kingdom, and my luggage was there by the time I checked into the Beach Club at about 2:00. I tipped the bellman who picked up my luggage at the Poly, and the one who brought my luggage to me at the Beach Club. I tipped $1 per bag to each of them.

I would definitely have Disney move my luggage again, and will be doing that in a few weeks when I move from the CBR to the Boardwalk.

i agree. have disney move your luggage. we did have a slight problem, but angelo at OKW had it worked out in no time. he is super!

We are moving during our stay. If your luggage is already there when you get there (the second hotel) how do you tip the bellman there? I am planning to tip both as well, but don't know how to get it to the 2nd. TIA

The luggage is at your resort (not room) when you get ready to check into the second resort. Bell services then brings it to your room after you have checked in so you can tip at that time. I went from the CSR to CBR in Spetember and had Disney move my luggage--there was no problem.
