Is it like Oogie Boogie Bash where you go around to different stations and get candy? Does it involve trick or treating at all? Do ghosts and goblins jump out at you?

A lot of people seem to like Fresh Baked videos. Here is his Knott's Scary Farm visit this year.

From the website:
Select Nights, Sept. 18 - Nov. 1, 2025
Knott’s Scary Farm is the longest-running and most haunting Halloween theme park event in Southern California. With over 50 years of nightmares, unimaginable scares and innovative thrills, Knott’s Scary Farm has left no tomb unearthed, no crypt un-rattled and no fear untouched.
Experience the fully transformed theme park, with uniquely haunted mazes and attractions, sinister shows, and more than 1,000 horrifying creatures lurking in the fog and hiding across every inch of the park.

Knott’s Scary Farm is not recommended for children under 13.

Spooky Farms is the daytime event that’s hosted during regular park hours. They have trick-or-treating on Thursdays - Sundays and other select days. IMO, Knott’s has a better entertainment program for Halloween (as well as Christmas), but unfortunately much of it is weekends only. The park is often dead during the week.. not uncommon to be able to walk onto every ride with little or no wait. On weekends those same rides have waits of up to 3 hours or more.

Jump out at you is putting it mildly. lol

Yes, Knotts Spooky Farm is the daytime “free” event that would be somewhat similar to Oogie Boogie, but Knotts Scary Farm is a separate ticketed event that is NOTHING like anything Disney related.!!! lol

Scary Farm is the best haunted house / maze event on the planet, but not for the faint hearted.

I absolutely love Knott's Scary Farms! It is a night time event that is nothing like anything Disney would ever do. It is meant to be really scary and more geared towards adults who love horror. In my experience it is the best event for horror mazes in SoCal. Spooky Farms, in the daytime, is more like something Disney would do but not on Disneyland's scale. But it a great value for the money and its included in your regular park admission.

The only thing OBB and Scary Farm have in common is that both are upcharge Halloween events.

Knott's Scary Farm is an amazing upcharge Halloween event, the oldest at a theme park in the country. The entire park essentially becomes a scarezone, with ample fog machines pumping all night, scareactors everywhere you turn, sliders, and spooky characters with decades of lore roaming around anywhere you are. There are ten haunted mazes, many with incredible set design. Additionally, there is typically great entertainment on offer as well, limited though it sometimes might be.

It's a great event, but it's very much a scary, haunted house-centric event. Not recommended for young kids or anyone who isn't looking for scares.

Knotts is fun

I still kinda like HHN at USH the best but Knotts does a very good for Halloween. But its if you want to be scared people jump out at you and what not

Every year, beginning in early August, Knott’s puts annual passes on sale. You get the remainder of the current year + all of the next year — so 17 months total. This year, they were $95 (and you can pay it in monthly payments). You can add on a parking pass for $90 (it’s $30 a day). A gold pass was $125 and adds admission to their water park. If you get that, for $70 you can get access to every Six Flags/Cedar Fair park plus parking. It’s a really good deal.

During this time of year, they perform A Christmas Carol and Snoopy’s Nihh Before Christmas (an ice skating show). Those alone are worth the price of the AP.

Knott’s has tons of holiday entertainment + holiday food… remember, Disneyland (and later WDW) copied them.
