We've done this at WDW but this is our first trip to DL. Where do i go to sign up for jedi training? How long does sign-up take? Will i get to pick the showtime i want? How does this work on an EMH/MM morning? I will be there on a EMH 7am day for the EMH, so do sign-ups start at 7am or at 8am when the park opens to the public? Is this better to do on an EMH day or a non-EMH day (we will be there on both types of days), or is there no difference? I just don't want to waste my whole EMH standing in line to sign up. Thanks for your help!!!

I would do it on a non EMH day. The performance is the same but you can save yourself a lot of waiting time.

Be there as early as possible for rope drop and go towards tomorrowland. Head for the Launch Bay and the sign up with be on the left side where the exit from launch bay is located. The kids are processed on a first come first serve basis but because they spend a bit of time "interviewing" your kids to see if they can pay attention and not cause a problem, the line can get big quick and take a long time to process. I recommend getting a fast pass for a ride and then go directly to it, or just head straight for it (which is what I did). After you are processed you then get to pick which show you want to be in, so you can pick a later one if you want to. You need to arrive about thirty minutes before the show back where you processed the kids, NOT the stage. They will then take the kids and get them dressed and it gives you a free twenty minutes to catch your breath. They will take all the parents over to the show (it is a little disorganized so pay attention) and they have an area of the floor for you to sit at the front to watch your kids. Please be mindful of the instructions and realize they have a hard time trying to herd a bunch of sugar fed kids through the process.

Your kid will fight either Darth Vader or the female Inquisitor character, but not both. You don't get to choose and they switch the lines back and forth so you won't know which one it will be. You are able to move around if you don't have a good angle for photos, but I found the middle is best.

We were there on Monday 2/1 and we headed straight to sign ups at park opening. My son got in the first show. If you don't go to sign up first there can be quite a wait for sign up which I was glad to avoid and I've read here that the sign ups fill up fast. It was fun and something we always wanted to do but I'm so glad we got it done first thing!

Sign up is right across from the Autopia entrance.

Does it cost extra? And what if you have multiple kids that want to do it? Will they allow it?

On EMH days, they do not open the line until Park opening EMH was 7am and the sign for Jedi training listed that signups started at 8am. I would bet they open it just a few minutes early, but can not say as we did not try to sign up.

It does not cost extra, and I am pretty sure all of your kids can sign up as long as they are within the age range and can follow the instructions you also would need to make sure you pick a time slot that would have enough slots for everyone
