We will be visiting Universal in early June and was hoping to also visit SeaWorld and Bush Gardens........

My main question is the roller coasters, my 12 yrs old son just loves them, if i go in early june just how busy does the park get....you know the wait times for the coasters..........

thanks

Brooke

Early June should be reasonably busy because school's out. That being said, the discrepancy between attendance on weekends vs. weekdays is a bit more pronounced in Busch Gardens because they rely more on "passholders", who tend to be local and who usually go on weekends. Essentially, you can buy a yearlong pass for less than the cost of two one-day admissions, so Bay area residents add to the crowds mostly on the weekends. By contrast, the Disney parks are often more crowded on weekdays than weekends, because people vacationing from up north and abroad tend to be en route on the weekend. So to minimize lines at Busch Gardens, I would suggest planning your visit for the weekday, and to arrive early in the day, if possible, when the coaster lines haven't built up yet.

If your kids are into coasters, Busch Gardens is the Florida theme park. The new Sheikra ride freaks me out just to look at it, with its 90 degree drop and inverted loops, etc. There's about half a dozen other worthwhile coasters, including Montu, which is my favorite because of the way your legs are left to dangle precariously. Yikes.

DD and I have lived in Orlando for three years, and until a few weeks ago had not visited BG. I added it to our AP, so I figured we had better go. I was very impressed by the park, and absolutely had a wonderful time. It's about 90 mi for us to drive there, but we made two trips the same weekend, as we didn't get everything done the first day (we got a late start and hit traffic).

I am not into roller coasters, but DD is, however she was 2" to short for most, and is impatiently waiting for the magic moment that she is tall enough!

We saw many more animals at BG than we ever do at AK - I'm sure that is timing. I love the skyride, and the train ride.

Next time we are going back we will do one of the special "safari" tours which take you even more up close and personal to the animals!
