Please tell me about BCV

We are planning on renting points for BCV (studio) and OKW (studio) for 12/2006 and in this thread just wanted to ask a few questions about BCV.

1. How far of a walk is it from BCV to Stormalong Bay? The incredible pool area is the only reason why we want to stay here but just hope it is not too far away.

2. Can someone send me a link to a map of BCV/stormalong Bay? I am trying to figure out room requests. I know we would like to be as close to Stormaong Bay as possible but would also like a quiet room, building at the same time. A view of something would be great but I have no idea what the view options even are. Any other suggestions for a building/area/view request would be greatly appreciated.


3. How long does it take to walk from BCV , all the way around the boardwalk, back to BCV? I have never been to the Epcot resort area and am having a hard time trying to visualize it.

4. How long does it take to walk from BCV to BWV. I have read that they have a lot of activities on the boardwalk there in the evening and was just wondering how long it would take to walk over there.

Any information would be grreatly appreciated.

Both are very short, relatively. The Pool is just a walk thru the lobby and around a short hallway....from room (depending on your exact room) to pool is probably 4-7 minutes.....not far at all..The walk to BW round the side and over a bridge...probably 6-10 minutes......Anyone disagree?? I don't think it is far at all in the grand scheme of walking around Disney for 10 hrs a day BCV is our home resort so we walk it all the time.....doesn't feel like much at all......

It's about a mile to walk around the Boardwalk. Its about a 10 minute walk from BCV to Epcot and the same from BCV to BWV.

SAB is a short 5 minute (or less) walk- thru the BC lobby- from BCV.

Views are of Epcot, pool and woods. Some will have a glimpse of the roadway bewteen BCV and Epcot, some will have a glimpse of the parking area, some will look towards BC, some will have a view of ToT at MGM. Every room does have a good view, IMO.

You can also walk to Disney-MGM studios ... but it's a bit further than the walk to Epcot. About 15 minutes or so.

We enjoyed our stay at BCV very much; it's a pretty resort, and both Stormalong Bay and the quiet pool were convenient and fun. (The quiet pool, when we were here, was REAL quiet...we rarely saw more than three or four other people using it.) And you can't beat the quick walk to Epcot. Especially for dinner, or to catch IllumiNations. A couple of nights, we wandered over to see the fireworks around 8:45, and then were back "home" by 9:30!
