Please tell me about AAA Discounts!

I am trying to figure out if it would be worth it to buy AAA to get the discount --- does anyone know what the rate is for a standard room at a value during value season? Do you have to book through AAA or can you call Disney directly with your AAA number ? If I have rack rate already booked and I get AAA can I change it ? Thanks!

The AAA discount gives you 20% off the rack rate of a value resort during value season (and 20% off mods or 15% off deluxes). If you want to make a room-only ressie with the AAA discount, you can do that through CRO or AAA. If you want to book a package with the AAA discount on the room, you have to book through AAA. If you already have a room ressie, you can call CRO & ask to have the discount applied. Like all the other codes & promos out there, there is limited availability for the AAA-discounted rooms, but as long as there is still availability for your resort/dates, they just apply the discount (you don't have to cancel & rebook or get a new ressie number.)

Hope this makes sense! We have AAA and feel it's very worth the cost of membership.

(Oh... and if you do decide that you need to book through AAA, be sure & read the fine print. I've heard that some AAA offices charge a booking fee or a change/cancellation fee. That's why I prefer to book the discount through Disney directly if possible.)
