My DS 15, my mom and I will be heading to WDW July 23-28. We have been to WDW many times (30+ myself) and really know what we like to do, try to relax, and take time to go off the beaten path. We DON'T do the early morning hour for resort guests and we DON'T do the extra magic hour at night. BUT-we do like to get to the park early, use fast pass, relax at the pool in the afternoon and head to another park in the evening. We will be using points to stay at Villas at Wilderness Lodge. Here is the plan:

Saturday 7/23-arrive MCO 2pm, use ME to VWL, hang out at the pool, head to Downtown Disney in the evening, make it an early night

Sunday 7/24-AK in am; pool in afternoon, Epcot in PM

Monday 7/25-MGM in Am, pool, MK in PM

Tuesday 7/26-Typhoon Lagoon (opening until we wipe out!) DVC Member Block Party early evening

Wednesday 7/27-Epcot in Am, pool, MGM in PM

We have been to WDW in crowded months before. The only thing we didn't do this time is make any PSs. We hate to set too much of a time schedule and the three of us are just as happy as grabbing a hot dog and sitting on a bench. I am still not sure if we should plan some PSs now, or just try to get them while we are there. :confused3 We will have breakfast in our room (studio).

Anyway-what do you think about the plan??

Thanks,
Karen

The biggest thing that struck me is that you will miss the parade at Animal Kingdom by leaving early, and you will miss the parade at MGM too unless you get there early enough (4:00 I think) in the evening on the 2nd day you go to MGM (Wed). Oh, and going to DTD on a non-park (non-ticket-required day) was a good idea, too. But if you think you will want to eat in a sit-down restaurant, I'd make the PS's now instead of waiting.

My only suggestion would be to make a couple PSes, just in case. You never know when you'll be desperate to get out of the heat! If you decide not to use them you can always call to cancel, but it's nice to have them there if you need them. Otherwise your plan looks great to me!
