Booking a 1 night and 2 days stay at DLP for July....

Im looking and im holding back temptation....arghh!!!! :rotfl:

I can book it all on Monday.

Sometimes having a DLP bug isnt always a good thing lol

Why would I want to stop you??!! :rotfl:

If DH had unlimited leave (and money lol), I would just book as and when

I think i could hold the award for having the most DLP trips in 2008 lol

OK, I'm game!! Would it not be better to save on the multiple crossing/eurostar fares and save to have one longer trip? That way the ammount you spend on several crossings would be reduced to one crossing but more days in the hotels/parks? Thus actually spending more days over all at DLP?

I so know what you mean. I had not had a Disney trip since I spent Christmas/New year at WDW 2005/6. Then we went to DLRP last month and the wait made it oh so much sweeter and had more meaning. I so appreciate how fortunate I am this year having to look forward to an trip to DL and another special trip to DLRP in October (a trip at the start of the year I had not even contemplated having just got back from 4 days at DLRP last month.)

The way I appreciate my trips is like this. My other passion is rollercoasters and I adore Alton Towers. I have visited the Towers every year for the past 20 years. It is somewhere I love and feel 'at home.' When I was growing up I really looked foreward to my yearly (or if I was really lucky 2 times in a year) trip there. Now, for the past 5 years I am fortunate enough to be able to have an annual pass there. Now I can a) afford it and b) can drive myself there in 1 3/4 hours. I could go tomorrow if I wanted to but I will not. What I have realised is that to keep a place special means you have to appreciate it. To appreciate it you have to not expect to be able to get there easily and, nor want to. I actually limit my Alton Towers trips now even though I have an AP as I do not want my trips there to be 'normal'. I still want them to be unexpected and special. For that reason I would not want to have so many DLRP trips a year, even though I think I want to. To me I want to keep Disney parks special, and to me part of being special means having the endure the amount of time inbetween visits. To me Disney parks are in their own league. To me part of the thrill is the build up and anticipation of the visit. If I visited too often and with little time between visits the value would soon be lost.

I completely get what your saying....:)

Think i'll wait for my trip in September and take Kyra Legoland and Chessington instead :)

Ooh I love Chessington (another perk of the Alton Towers AP!!) I'm sure Kyra would love the rides there (I love the water/bubble ride the effects are really cool!) plus I love the zoo. I adore the meercats, I love the way they stand on guard!! I'm sure Kyra would love those too!!

Thankyou for making me see sense for once :rotfl: :goodvibes

Your welcome!! Be sure to see the tigers and the seal show too!! I hope you both have fun at DLRP in September. Make sure you share your pics (it will make me look forward to my October trip with my parent, their 1st Disney experience!!)

Excellent advice :goodvibes Disney is so addictive that it's easy to forget there are so many other great places to visit........as I keep reminding myself as I am trying (very unsuccessfully so far) to persuade myself to have a Disney-free year next year. ;)

I've heard that Disneyland Paris is the best Disneyland of all!
I don't get to go until August 2009, but I'm really excited.

I hope that you have a great time when you go! I'm sure the wait will definitely be worth it.

Alton Towers sounds like a blast! I might have to do that one of these days.

I would love to go again soon, but my 8 year old says we have done all the rides!! So instead i am planning a trip in October to chessington probably staying overnight and am thinking of a girls only trip next year with my 6 year old to Disney, she is like me and can't get enough of it.

Hey Emma give me the money instead so I can UPGRADE to Feb instead of January!!!!:rotfl: :rotfl:

Everyone upgrades their hotels..not me I just want to upgrade the month!!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: ;)

Nah seriously have a great time wherever you go!:thumbsup2

Im just going to wait untill September....:)

And then plan my 2 trips for next year...yes next year i will only have 2 trips lol.
