Laurie - I could be wrong, but I don't think all of your refrigerator & freezer items will fit in a studio fridge. I think that even the 3 half gallons will be pushing it (on the door?) let alone the add'l items. Now, I could be wrong, but you might want to be prepared for that issue.:worried:

Thanks so much, that is so helpful as I am drawing a blank! That is good to know she'll come back again for less...that could come in handy!

There is a thread out there with a picture of a Studio Fridge with a lot of bottles;) hoping we will be able to get most of our order in (I'll update when I get back!)

Yes, let me know...we are studio people, and since we wont' be doing DDP anymore... I'd like to find ANY/EVERY way to save $$ by eating in room! Have a great trip!:thumbsup2

I try not to go overboard, and we don't do elaborate meals in the room. (we'll eat lunch or dinner out and have salad and sandwiches for the other meal in the room) But here's my list:

milk (we get 3 gallons for a week)
cream for coffee
tide and bounce
bread
pb & j
chips, salsa, doritos, etc
cereal (I have 3 kids and they all pick one box)
lots of fruit (you really need fruit when you eat out all week ;))
bagged caesar salad
precooked perdue chicken for salad
3-4 cases of water
something sweet for the room (I can never eat my dessert right after a big dinner but I always want it later)
shampoo/conditioner/lotion (I don't pack it anymore because of weight)
travel snacks (cereal bars, yogos, pb crackers, etc)

we pack:
tea bags
coffee (I'm fussy and bring my fav from home)
hot chocolate (even in summer--my kids get cold in the ac after swimming)
oatmeal packets
travel dixie coffee cups with lids for homemade coffee to go in the morning
johnson's pre-soaped travel washclothes for cleaning up on the go

Sometimes I pack sunscreen, sometimes I buy it there. If we're travelling in the winter there is a much better selection in Florida.

HTH!

Thanks everyone, these are great ideas and I am starting to round out my list. I think I will also ship a box, maybe one of the flat rate priority boxes from the USPS to include things like saran wrap, ziplocs, mac n cheese, etc.

Don't forget to order a small size Clorox (I think it is a quart) to clean/run once through the jacuzzi tub!!

Marge is great. Have a great trip.

Michele

Anyone else have a list to share? This is quite helpful! I realized I had water--something we buy every time we go down--left off our list for our upcoming trip!

During my last 5 visits, I had to go back out and purchase the forgotten coffee filters. I tried using paper towels and it does not work well. My coffee pot at home does not require them, therefore I now have a lifetime supply of coffee filters for DVC vacations. Anyone expressing an interest, simply forward your dates of travel and if they coincide with mine, I will be happy to supply you with coffee filters!

You know what the say about great minds...

Well I hope I got a complete list. I'm bringing lots with me for snacks in the parks and for breakfast. My family is not big breakfast eaters. A quick scrambled eggs (for DH) and cerel (kids) will do it for them. Of course, that means they get hungry at about 10am. That's when my DD(12) asks for some items from my "magic" bag. We go to DLR once a month, so I'm familiar at what to bring with us for the parks. The cooking in our room will be different.
I will bring dry roasted peanuts, snack pudding cups, fruit roll-ups, Chees-its, beef jerky and various cookies for snacks. This list is what I will bring with me (as well as other items) in my luggage bag. My plan is to consume as much as we can and have room for the souvenirs. Last time we went, I had no room for the t-shirts, mugs and other souvenirs, and had to bring some items as carry ons. The way things are going at the airports these days, I don't want to have a problem.
When are you going?

Did someone mention coffee filters? What size? I have got to have my coffee and I like to make it my way. This can be important!

Well, we are back! There were ??? as to whether or not we could get everything into the Studio size fridge. We were able to get everything that was required to be refrigerated into the fridge. We did not use the freezer, although I think we could have put the French Toast there. We ate the pancakes from refrigerated state. One note, though, the 1/2 gallon O.J. had to be kept on its side; it was too wide for the door. The two 1/2 gallons of milk fit beautifully, though! I kept 3 cans of pop and 3-4 bottles of water in the fridge at a time and would refill as necessary.

I found, however, we did overbuy. We could have used just a six pack of Pepsi, and bought too many breakfast items (thought DH would eat breakfast, but why I thought that when he doesn't eat it at home:laughing:  ) Also, I bought way too many paper products as unit was better stocked than I expected (there were already two rolls of paper towels) and since we bought the refillable mugs, we really did not need the plastic cups. Finally, because we went to Typhoon Lagoon 2 days, and did not bring a cooler, we ate more counter service than I expected. So, for me anyways, I would buy less and rely on Disney Dining more.

Hope everybody has great trips this summer!:beach:

Hi all We will be going in July and this chat is helpful....but I am also wondering what type of coffee filters would I need? since that is my staple in my diet::yes:: any help is greatly appreciated. Wego shop charges 1/2 on delivery next time out? my children are MILK HOUNDS!;)

Do we need to bring laundry/dishwasher soap?
What about basic toiletries - shampoo, soap, etc?
Our first trip will be in October, and I am still deciding whether we ought to get a car and hit the Publix, or go with the online ordering.

We brought generic paper filters from our 12 cup pot and they worked just fine (it is a standard 10 or 12 cup pot). We Go Shop does charge 1/2 on the second grocery run, but I would check the price of milk in the "Disney Store"; if that is all you need, it may be worth it just to pay the slightly heigher price (1/2 gallons of milk are expensive anywhere you go these days!)

DVC provided a small bottle of dishsoap which was more than enough for the six nights we were there. We were in a studio, so I can't speak for the laundry soap. However, there are trials of liquid soap you can buy in the travel section of Target that I packed and used at the community washers. Finally, DVC provided toiletries and I was surprised that they provided fresh ones on Trash and Towel Day (did not think they would do that).

Hope you all have great trips!:thumbsup2 We loved our stay!
