We will be flying with DS6, DS3, and DD 10 months. We will have 2 strollers that I plan to check at the gate. I plan on one carryon for me with all of DD's needs in it, plus change of clothes for the 2 of us.

Should DH just carry on a bag to cover him and the DS's? Or should each DS bring their own?

TIA :flower:

I vote for one carried by your dh. I'd personally get obsessive with worrying if my ds was keeping track of his bag. That said, maybe your ds are very good with holding on to things/ you are more laid back than I am (sure that's not too hard to be :earboy2: )? My concern is with the down time before you get on the plane. We had 3 carry-ons last time, this time I'm planning on one and an umbrella stroller. Too much to keep track of.

Yes, your DH should definitely take advantage of one carry on that will fit his and your boys' things. :)

We have learned from experience, just because your child is old enough to carry a carry-on, doesn't mean s/he will.

My DH and I each take a backpack. I usually cram my stuff in with DS. DH carries the heavy stuff in his pack - books, meds, etc. Then we each have free hands to deal with DS, carseat, and checked luggage.

Good luck!

Thank you all! I do think I will feel better with only DH taking a carry-on, but I wondered what the rest of you do.

It is quite a challenge to travel when the children outnumber the adults ;)
