I just added the MYW Dining Plan for our December trip. This trip will just be me, dd7, and ds5. At first, I was thinking we would eat quick breakfasts in the room, a CS for lunch, and TS for dinner (quite original, huh?)

But now I'm thinking of adding a Crystal Palace Character breakfast, or maybe Hoop De Doo.

I just want to see how others are planning their meals using the MYW Dining package.

Mary

I have not made a plan for CS dining but I know what my favorites are in each park. As far as breakfast we are doing some character breakfast and the other days we will probably eat at the POP food court. My ADR are as follows.

Arrival day 9/9 50's Prime time 4:35
9/10 Crystal Palace breakfast 8:25am
San Angel Inn @5:30
9/11 Mama Melrose 4:30
9/12 Donalds Bvreakfastosaurus 8:30 am
Concourse 5:30
9/13 Le Cellier 5:30
9/14 Chef Mickeys 5:30
9/15 Le Chef de France 6:00
9/16 Supercalifragilistic Breakfast 8:30
Ohana 5:30
9/17 Alfredos 5:30
9/18 Crt 5:30

Okay, you asked for it so here it is:

Sat Oct 8th: Lunch either Cosmic Rays or hotel
Dinner @ Chef Mickeys

Sun Oct 9th: Lunch Sci-fi dine in (never tried this one)

Mon Oct 10th: Donald's Breakfastasaurus
Dinner Pepper Market

Tues Oct 11th: Lunch Typhoon Lagoon
Dinner Liberty Tree Tavern

Wed Oct 12th: Dinner San Angel Inn(2 people)
ESPN Club(3 people)

Thurs Oct 13th: Lunch Wolgang Pucks Grand Cafe

I booked hoop de doo for our last night but I think I am going to cancel them. It always seems to take awhile to get back to our hotel afterwards. I think we will use our last table service meal at either the Concourse Steakhouse, Crystal Palace or Mama Melrose. I know my husband wants to go to the Pepper Market a couple of times and that is only considered a counter service meal. I think this meal plan is a great value. Its a relief to know that we have our meals paid for in advance! Enjoy your trip!

That is 8 sit down meals for 6 days!! I think it is way too many. They do fit into our park plans well. We will be sharing and my DD(12) would really only eat pizza and chicken strips if given a choice so I don't know what I am going to do with her!!! pirate:

We just added on another night (thus more credits) because we decided to fly instead of drive and could only get a flight one day earlier than planned. So our updated itinerary goes something like this:

Arrival night, Sat. Sept. 17:
Dinner @ Pop counter service (don't get in until 9pm)

Sunday, Sept. 18:

Tuesday, Sept. 20:
Breakfast: something light in the room or cinnamon rolls at Tusker House
Lunch: Tusker House counter service
Dinner: undecided-Backlot Express, Pop, or Earl of Sandwich depending on where we end up

Wednesday, Sept. 21:
Breakfast: something light in the room
Lunch: Backlot Express counter service
Dinner: Kona Cafe, 5:30pm

Thursday, Sept. 22:
Breakfast: Crystal Palace, 8:05am
Lunch: something light at park cart or Pop
Dinner: Wolfgang Puck Express counter service

Friday, Sept. 23:
Breakfast: something light in the room
Lunch: Backlot Express or other MGM counter service
Dinner: Coral Reef, 6:30pm

Saturday, Sept. 24:
Breakfast: something in the room or cinnamon rolls at Tusker House
Lunch: Cinderella's Royal Table, 1pm
Dinner: Le Cellier, 7:30pm

We went over 2 credits for table service so we're going to pay out of pocket for 2 people at 1900 Park Fare breakfast. We're also going to have some extra counter service credits that we'll decide how to use when we get there.

I have a couple of questions for you all:

1. We are planning to split most, if not all, of our lunch CS meals because those are typically a huge amount of food. I am figuring that 2 adult CS meals will easily feed me, my DH, and 2 DS (ages 6 and 7). This will leave us with lots of extra counter service credits to use for breakfast. I guess we'll mostly use those at Mara since we're staying at AKL. Are others planning to use some of their CS meals for breakfasts?? Are there any places better than Mara for this?

2. The night we eat at Spoodles I was considering trying the Fantasia mini-golf afterwards. Is it very close to Spoodles? How late is it open? Is it much "better" than a typical mini-golf course? In other words, would 6 and 7 year old boys think it is great and worth our time to do?

Thanks!
