I know there are tons of recipes for low fat, low sugar desserts online including all the weight watchers ones, but just wanted to see about the tried and true ones that you all have decided are worth making again.

You know, it's that time of year again to try and do better and sweets are my downfall. Thanks for your help.

Chocolate Tofu Cake 12 servings 3 ¼ pts.

1 box chocolate cake mix (I used Duncan Hines) 36 points
4 oz. silken tofu 2 points
4 oz. unsweetened applesauce 1 point
amount of water indicated on cake box

In a large bowl, mash tofu. Add cake mix and water. Mix together and add applesauce. Beat on med. speed until batter is relatively smooth. Spray pan and lightly flour (I use baking Pam) Pour batter into pan and cook required time (from cake box) I use a bunt pan and cook for 50 minutes @ 350.

When cake is cool frost with:
1 small tub fat free cool whip mixed with 1 package sugar free pudding mix. (I used white chocolate)

I cut the cake into 12 pieces, making each piece 3 1/4 points.

It's important that you add the cake mix to the tofu before the applesauce! Tofu picks up the flavor of whatever it is cooked with and if you mix the applesauce with it first, the cake will taste too appley (is that a word?)

I also use the tofu and applesauce with brownie mix, yummy!!

Another great idea is to add one can squash to mixes instead of eggs and oil. I use this with spice cake mix and make muffins. I believe those are 3 points each also.

I have also used a small container of fat free yogurt and this works well. I've added that to pineapple cake mix. Delicious!!

I also love FF/SF chocolate instant pudding with fat free cool whip

If it's just for me and not for company, I like either a cup of no sugar added hot cocoa with a few mini marshmallows, or 2 dark chocolate Hershey's kisses. Although, tonight I paired the kisses with a beer, so they were less healthy than normal. :drinking1

Pumpkin cupcakes.

Mix a can of pumpkin with a boxed cake mix (I like spice cake or devils food). Don't add the eggs or the oil, just the pumpkin. Spoon into a muffin tin. Bake as directed. Serve with FF cool whip.

Jello, seriously.

Someone mentioned on a WISH board thread, popcorn (if you don't put much butter or salt on it, it's good for you).

My favorite is fresh fruit, fat free yogurt, and some low fat granola. If you live near a Trader Joe's they have some sorbets that have little or no sugar added.

The best thing to do if you have a weakness is not keep that food in the house at all. It is impossible to eat it if it isn't there in the first place (without a trip to get it of course).

Today, I bought sugar free Jello Pudding Mousse. It's 60 calories for each little cup. I had one before and give it a big thumb's up. :thumbsup2 Very tasty!

I agree with the fresh fruit, I'll make a quick fruit salad, and be happy. Yummy and not fattening. I love fruit, lol.

Light or fat free cool whip between two low fat graham crackers and freeze them. You could also lightly spinkle semi sweet chocolate chips on the cool whip before you freeze. I haven't tried this yet but how could it be bad. bb

1 box of chocolate cake mix
11 oz. of diet soda (any will do, but I use diet Cherry Dr. Pepper)
2 egg whites

mix and bake as directed

top with:

1 tub of fat free/lite Cool Whip that has been mixed with 2 small containers of sugar free chocolate pudding

My other favorite is a box of angel food cake mixed with one can of crushed pineapple, mix and bake as directed. Sometimes I'll throw a little Cool Whip on top and add some cut up strawberries.

One tablespoon of fat free cool whip between 2 squares of chocolate graham cracker (doesn't have to be fat free - I've never seen them.) refrozen is 1 point and like an ice cream sandwich. I have eaten many while counting points.

Yogurt/Jello

Add 1 cup boiling water to 1 sm. envelope sugar free Jello stir for 3 min
stir in 1 sm. container of light yogurgt. Chill for 1 hr

It is fun to mix and match the flavors.

skinny cow ice cream treats...

Yes!! I love the little round ice cream sandwiches :lovestruc And their site has a coupon for their new "Truffles" ice creams, which I haven't tried yet but intend to! :thumbsup2 Unfortunately they're pricey, so I have to hide 'em from the non-dieters in the house. :rolleyes1

I love skinny cows. I also love no-pudge brownie mix. I make the individual serving or I will eat the whole tray. You mix the stuff with yogurt and microwave. It is really yummy with some cool whip.

I do south beach and like low fat ricotta mixed with splenda and a few mini chocolate chips and a dash of vanilla or almond extract. It tastes like the inside of a cannolli. Sometimes I dust with no sugar cappuccinno powder and it tastes like tiramisu.

I make the cooked SF FF pudding, chocolate most of the time, and top it with Cool Whip Free. I always feel deprived if I don't have a sweet and this always makes me feel like dessert. I use FF milk.
