If I'm not in the right forum please move me. Think I would know this by now.

My family is considering a Christmas trip this year. Really we are going as soon as conditions are right for us. I've never considered Disney at Christmas in the past because Christmas is so awesome on it's own I don't need to mix it with Disney awesome-ness. Really we have so many Christmas traditions and customs that I never wanted to miss them. But this year we will be out of our house due to a remodel and 2020 has been up-side-down anyway so changing it up might be good.

So please share your Christmas at Disney experience; an excerpt of your best Christmas at Disney memory, your favorite activity, tradition, whatever. Get me a little excited for this idea. Please.

This year will be completely different im afraid so any past experience won't matter. I'm hoping we still get the decorations and the food but that's all about im expecting this year. Still Disney is great to visit that time of year, if nothing else for the weather

Expensive, crowded and magical. We had the exact same thought about loving Christmas at home so much, that why spend that time at WDW instead? But really it blew us away. However if you have traditions with family (we really don't since we're spread out all over the country) or kids want to be close to home, you'll have to consider that.

This year it's looking like no parades, no special fireworks, no parties, but also low crowds. There may not be the festival of the holidays at Epcot or if there is it will probably be pared down. Those are the things that made it most magical for us, but we are going again this year because we have AP so we'll see how it goes.

Christmas is our absolute favorite time of year to visit. The energy you feel throughout the parks, the holiday decorations, the Festival of the Holidays, the themed overlays, the park hours, the great weather. Is it crowded? Absolutely. Is it super expensive? You betcha. But for regular park goers, I think Christmas can be a really special time to visit.

We have absolutely no idea what the holidays will look like this year or how the pandemic will shape tourism in December. It's going to be interesting. We did a Christmas trip in 2018 and 2019. Both times we had an absolute blast. Right now we have no plans to return for Christmas this year. We're just not sure if it will have the same special feeling or not.
