Hi all,
I used to be a pretty regular poster on the boards, but have become kind of a lurker, and have been for a while now.

However, I know that the power of positivity on this board has helped alot of people, and boy, I could sure use some right now.

For the past two weeks I've been having very severe abdominal pain, along with other random symptoms that have really been wreaking havoc on my life. I've pretty much had to drop out of the entire semester of school, and have used up all of my personal time at work for appointments and tests, leaving me none for the Disneyland trip I was REALLY hoping for in February :sad1:

The tests they have done (they've been numerous) have ruled out lots of things...which is good, but also bad in a way because we still don't know what's wrong with me.

I've been able to do nothing but lay on the couch and watch tv or surf the internet on my laptop, and have become very depressed because I'm not able to see anyone, or work on my school work, or even clean my house. It's very difficult for me to even get up and go to work, but I do that because I don't have a choice. The boards have been the only thing that momentarily helps that depression.

I hate to vent, and I hate asking, but I could really use some prayer/good vibes/positive thoughts/pixie dust right now.

Thanks to all on the boards for being a good distraction so that I can escape a little every day and for a moment, forget about what's going on. It has been so very helpful in keeping me from curling into a crumpled ball and crying each day. I know these are good people here, and it helps so very much :)

 & pixiedust:.

I hope your doctors find the cause of your pain quickly. I'm keeping you in my thoughts and prayers :flower3:

Here's hoping they find the cause and fix you up soon. That is a very difficult thing to endure.

Prayers and pixie dust that you find your answer quickly and make a full recovery. Promise yourself now that when it's all over you will take that trip to Disney. It will hopefully give you something positive and happy to focus on.

Pixie Dust headed your way....hope you feel better soon !!!!

Ahhh, sorry to hear about the rough patch you are going through. Hopefully the docs find the problem soon and all is remedied quickly!!!

I am so sorry you are going through this. Thoughts, prayers, and pixie dust have been sent.

I am no where near a doctor, but a few years ago I went through severe abdominal pain and nothing was discovered. It lasted for a year and a half until the gynecologist suggested endometriosis. She did some exploratory surgery and discovered that is what it was. Now granted you may already have had this suggested and it wasn't the problem.

I hope the pain is figured out soon and you are feeling better. :grouphug: :grouphug: :flower3: :flower3:

Thanks so very, very much for the well wishes everyone. It's truly heartwarming to see people who don't really "know" me care so much :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

That's actually something they haven't mentioned yet, when I go in tomorrow for my next blood test, I'll ask them about it. Thank you very much for the suggestion :):):)

Hugs and much PD being sent your way. Please ask your doctor if it could be due to anxiety and stress. I've experienced this. It is not fun.

Sending positive thoughts and lots of pixie dust your way.

I would agree that endometriosis should be checked for. My daughter has dealt with this problem for 10+ years and it can be extremely painful.

I hope the doctors find an answer for you soon.

Cathie-

The best possible thing you can do right now is just get it all out there in the open and vent, so I'm glad you did. Don't stress and don't worry, regardless of how difficult that might be right now. Everything is going to be alright! :)

Positive thoughts, plenty of hugs, and a ton of pixie dust!~

Hope the doctors find what is wrong soon and will have you feeling better in no time. As far as I'm concerned, prayer is the most important thing right now, so I'll be saying some for you. :flower3:

(And a little pixie dust never hurt either!pixiedust:)

pixiedust:pixiedust:

Here's wishing you good health and pain-free days soon!!

Also, have they ruled out celiac disease? My friend's DiL became ill very suddenly in grad school and after a great deal of testing, they realised she had developed a wheat/gluten allergy? I guess allergies can develop later in life too....

Hoping you feel better soon,

Ummmm I don't know if they've really done any testing that would show celiac disease...they've been ruling out several things at once on the same tests. The pain is mostly in the upper right area of my abdomen, like the liver area....but of course they've found nothing wrong with the liver lol.

Thank you so much everyone for all the get better wishes.....it means so very much right now :grouphug::goodvibes
