We leave on Dec. 10th and my back is acting up! BAD
I herniated a disc a few years ago & it puts me in bed for a week or so a couple of times a year, but why now???

I have done everything I know to do:

heating pad
massage
stretching
medicine
rest, rest, rest

I even missed Thanksgiving w/ my whole Family!

Now I'm starting to panic!!!!!!

Please send good wishes my way! My kids really deserve this trip!

I know it well about pain and what it does to you physically and mentally. Try to be positive and it will work itself out

I don't know if it is contra-indicated for herniated discs, but have you ever tried icing your back instead of heat?

If it's really bad, can someone push you in a wheelchair one day on your vacation? They had recommended that (when I called about something) one year when it was really hot out and I was pregnant (we ended up skipping the parks, we were just down for a conference for my DH).

I see you list "meds" - I know I have a problem with spasms occasionally, and get muscle relaxants for it. Haven't in years, but they did help. Make you sleepy though, so only took them at night. I guess you've talked to your doctor about any meds to bring as well? Do you have a brace of some sort?
