We were supposed to go the last week of August, but we had to change our dates because of some things going on with my DH job. Now we're going Nov 27 to Dec 3. Is that really better? I know the weather will be better, but what else? MVMCP? It will be me, DH, and our two boys (2 and 5 then). The trip will be a little longer than we had planned for August, but it's also further away, and we can't do the Steam Trains tour that we had wanted to do because we're taking the kids now, and in August we were going without them. I'm sad that we had to move it back, but happy at the same time, because we still get to go. We were just there last fall for 10 days, but November is still a long time away.

Please convince me it will be ok!

Steph

You are going to get to see all of the Christmas decorations!!!!!
WDW at Christmas would be a dream come true for me!
I have always wanted to go at that time of year, but we have never been able to work it out.
From what I understand, the crowds that time are better than August as well. We went the first week of november several years ago and it was like we had the place to ourselves.
Always remember, the worst day at WDW is still better than the best day at home! (at least that's my motto!)

Ohmygosh! November is SOOOO much better than August that you can't really even compare them. The weather, crowds and lines will be much, much more manageable -- less heat, way less humidity, not nearly the crowds and congestion of August. Plus, you'll get Christmas decor and holiday shows, in both the parks and Resorts.

I, personally, would never choose to visit in August, but could very easily be talked into November. It's a great switch.

Lucky you! November is our favorite time of year at Disney - have gone once in September and twice in November, and hands down, we'll stick with November. The water is still plenty warm enough to swim in, so you can do the water parks, and the days are warm and nice without those torrential rains at 4 pm and the heatstroke. Like the previous poster said, the decorations are enough reason to go, but for us, being able to ride POC four times because we were the ONLY ones there can't be beat! You'll have a blast! The weather will be GLORIOUS! And the crowds will be lower probably starting Nov 28 or 29 after the Thanksgiving visitors clear out.

I've never been in August that I can remember (it might have been in August when my parents took me in 1976 but then I was only six I just remember it was hot and I bumped my head on Dumbo), but November was wonderful! Christmas decorations were out, kids were still swimming and it wasn't really crowded...we had a blast. We leave in 24 days and I'm actually kind of nervous that it won't be as nice.

we have gone in august & it was extremely humid & rainy. we love wdw in november, the food & wine festival is great & through mid november, and late november has the world aglow with christmas decorations & special xmas events begin like mickeys very merry christmas party at mk and the candlelight processional & santas around the world at epcot. thanksgiving will probably be crowded but the rest of your trip at wdw will be great, its value season. also the weathers much better in november & the pools are heated.

and if you & hubby want a day or night alone look into in room babysitting through kids nite out 407-828-0920 (wdwinfo.com site has more info) they are also cpr certified. our family has used kids nite out before for adults only day/night & have been happy with the experiences, they bring toys & games too for the kids.

its going to be ok, have a great wdw trip! we're going in the 2nd week of november! so we'll also be counting the days!

Good choice! I think you'll love late November in WDW :earsboy:

You'll get to see the Candlelight Processional and the Christmas tree lighting in Epcot. I went 2 years ago at Christmas, and am so excited that I'm going that week again! I'm a teacher, so August would have been more convenient, but I just love going during early December. See ya there!

Just posted about how bad the crowds were over President's Day and how we are going back to our favorite time to visit WDW: October/November or early December. Thank who ever it is that made you change your dates from August to the end of November. You have no idea how lucky you are. No crowds - great weather -
We have gotten off an attraction and got right back in line to go on again without any waiting!! It doesn't get any better than that!!
