We are going to VB for two days after our Disney cruise. The day we get off the cruise happens to be my 40th birthday, and I refused to go home to Wisconsin winter after being on a cruise. I thought that a quick trip to VB might dull the pain. Anyway, I have a 1BR booked and was checking cash prices, and happened to ask about the 1BR view. I was told that all the 1BR were garden views, no ocean view. Can anyone confirm/deny this? I will live without the ocean view, but was really looking forward to it--
TIA

This is not correct. I have stayed at VB many times in a one bedroom and had direct ocean views many times. Any one bedroom facing out toward the back of the resort on an upper floor will have some sort of ocean view.

Having said that, some of my favorite views at VB have been on the first floor looking out at the wonderful landscaping.

Thank you!! you have made my night, and given me a nice early birthday present!!

You just can't count on getting an ocean view room. Almost everyone who stays at VB requests an ocean view. The only way to guarantee an ocean view is to stay in an Ocean View room in the Inn. As donald posted, though, many of the 1 bedrooms have a partial ocean view from the balcony (look to the side to see the ocean).

The good news is - no matter which room you are assigned, you will only be a few steps away from the beach. When we visited in late November, early December, I took a big mug of coffee and my two nephews (16 mo and 5 at the time) down to the beach every morning. It was so peaceful and so relaxing - we all loved it (especially my SIL who got to sleep in a bit, LOL). View was awesome from the beach! :teeth:

IMHO, the very best view of the ocean at VB is from the top of the pool slide - it's worth a walk up those stairs even if you don't intend to go down the slide!

You're going to have a wonderful birthday - don't fret about your room view and don't spend any more time in the room than you have to, LOL!

Best wishes -

The post Hurricane Vero Beach has more ocean views from the walkways, restaraunt and lobby than it ever had in the past. The new beach access boardwalk is wonderful, with plenty of seating area and beach overlook spaces to enjoy the ocean. It is very likely your one bedroom will not have an ocean view, many don't. But from all the one bedrooms I believe you can hear the ocean at night.
