Please rejoice with me! (DVC paid off!)

I do not post that often but I sure lurk alot! Anyway, I wanted to celebrate with people who will understand. Two days ago, I paid off my DVC loan!

It feels good for it to be all mine!! Can anyone tells me what happens next? Will I receive some type of papers in the mail? I know we do not technically "own" DVC but don't we get something now that the loan is paid off?

Congratulations! We paid our loan off in the Spring. I think you will get a loan fulfillment letter, which may have taken 1 or 2 months after the pay-off.

Addonitis seems to be epidemic on these boards, so watch out!!

Good for you, an individual who pays off a loan ... if our govenrment could only learn to do the same.

What you will receive, but probably not for a couple months, is a satisfaction of mortgage loan document that Disney will also file with the local recorder of deeds to prove via a public record that the loan is paid and Disney no longer has a lien on your property interest. You can actually find filings on-line in Florida for WDW properties at http://or.occompt.com/recorder/web/ but the satisfaction will not show up immediately but probably will be on-line shortly before you receive a copy in the mail.

Once you pay it off you do what is called an "add on".

Thanks everyone! No one in RL understands how happy I am about the pay off. Actually I'm going through a divorce right now but getting the DVC in the settlement so there is one bright spot out of this mess.

I am glad to know I will eventually receive something from DVC. As far as add ons go, I am one of those that would love to add on at the Grand Floridian. But for now, I'll just bask in the fact that DVC will no longer be taking that monthly payment out of my checking account!

As stated, you will get a pay-off confirmation letter (Takes awhile). One less bill to pay. Good feeling. Have fun on your "free and clear" points.
