I am looking for a nice (equivalent of an on-site Deluxe) off-site resort close to Disney Property.

Could you please recommend your favorites and tell me why you like them!

(Our party will be 4 adults - 2 rooms)

thanks!

We LOVE the marriott grande vista--not really close(10-15Min) to WDW but beautiful, deluxe, impeccable service, great pools, etc. :flower:

Sheraton Vistana Village is a 2br condo in Lake Buena Vista.. (about 1 mile from Downtown Disney..

now there are several nice timeshares in the area.

but I would put them more in the moderate cat - Sheraton's Vistana Resort - about a 2 miles from DD. I would Sheraton's Vistana Village around 7 to 10 miles from DD.

Cypress Pointe about 1/2 mile from DD.

Silver lake about 1/2 mile from AKL.

I've stayed at the Vistana Resort and something of that category would be absolutely fine.

Thanks for all your responses!

Just back from a trip...We stayed at both the Ritz Carlton and the Gaylord Palms. Also last year stayed at the Hyatt Grand Cypress.
I would personally go with the Gaylord Palms. The atmosphere is second to none. The rooms come with a refridge ( stocked with free water) a computer with free internet access, and the inside view rooms are WONDERFUL. The resort itself has a ton of beautiful walkways and decor to look at. The restuarants are very pricey...so eat elsewhere. The Ritz was nothing special. Nice room...nice hotel. That's it. No extras. No pampering. Nothing. Not worth the money. The Hyatt is very nice as well. Try to get upgraded to a Disney view. That was awesome, we could see Downtown Disney...the Castle...Epcot and MGM, from our balcony. Nice pool, outdoor activities. Okay prices at restuarant. This one is close to the Ale House which is one of our favorites places to eat off-property.
The JW Marriott that is next to the Ritz has a better pool and a starbucks!
The Gaylord and Hyatt are much closer to WDW...very easy to get there. Teh Ritz is down by Sea World.
Any questions please feel free to ask.... :sunny:
