Please recommend a stroller

After lots of research (and wanting pretty much all the features you mentioned), we ended up with the Peg Perego Vela (replaced the Aria in 2010). Here is a link:

We were looking for a stroller to use from birth - on. Originally I thought I wanted the Baby Jogger Citi-Mini, but then I got annoyed that you had to basically buy everything "a la carte" in order to be able to use it at different stages (e.g. carseat adapter, belly bar, snack tray...). I felt like the Vela was a better value (ended up being half the cost of the Citi Mini).

We are thrilled with the choice, and I have received so many compliments on the stroller - so many people ask about it since it is a newer model.

I was totally going to recommend the Vela! We used it with our 7 month old DD on our trip to WDW last month, and it was outstanding. We got the lime green color and got so many compliments. It was pushed by everyone in our party and went everywhere with us! We have a pliko switch which initally turned us on to Peg products and led us to the Vela. It's a simply great stroller for only $175-ish! Glad to hear others are loving it as well!

We have a Peg P3 and we all LOVE it!!!!! I got ours 1/2 price on albeebaby.com. It was the previous year's model so it was marked down. Find one you love and then look for a great deal online.

To the PP, you have just about sold me on the Joovy Kooper, I've been checking it out on the website and I have seen that stroller before, just never knew what it was!

I've got a couple of questions about it, I was wondering if you might be able to help me out?

1) Are the straps easy to get on and off the child? My current Macleran is a nightmare...

2) Can you fold it and carry while leaving a bag in the bottom basket?

3) Can you hang a bag on the back of it, even while a child is not in it (without it tipping over)?

Sorry to hijack your thread, I'll post these questions in a separate thread as well. Good luck!!

Thanks for all of the replies everyone! Unfortunately, now I'm even more undecided than I was before! Now I'm debating between the Baby Jogger City Mini, Joovy Kooper, Peg Perego Vela, Peg Perego Aria, and Cybex Topaz or Callisto.

I think I'm putting more thought into this stroller purchase than I have some of the cars I've bought. :rotfl2:

We had a chico stroller and LOVED it! It was pretty light weight but sturdy, rolled nicely, had a good storage basket, reclined a good bit, and folded easily. Now we have a baby planet or planet baby stroller and it's nice (but I still like the chicco stroller better) however the way the back is you can hang a bag on the handle and take your child out and the stroller doesn't tip over. This is a huge plus for us when we do our shopping at DTD and get stuff that wont fit in the basket. Plus the stroller is recyclable. The canopy is pretty big and had a little wind guard on it (doesn't do much in my opion)

I loved my Peg Perego Pliko P3 at WDW with my 2 y/o (at the time). My only gripe about the thing was that the basket underneath was hard to get things into & out of. The step on the back was very useful for my petite 5 y/o (at the time).

I have a Mia Moda Atmosferra this time around & it's too bulky so I'll be watching this thread too since I'm looking for a more Disney Transportation Friendly stroller. Thanks for all the great suggestions. :thumbsup2

It is not on your list but I highly recommend the Aprica presto. It is lightweight(13 pds) folds really small and has a strap, handles great(even took it into a field applepicking the other day and it went no problem while my friend kept getting her stroller stuck)I got it almost 2 months ago before our disney trip with my 7 month old and it was the best.I have had so many strollers-I have a 9 yr old dd that I had 5 strollers with and even with the baby I have 4 already but I think I am done! One of the best features is it goes up to 70 pds and the seat is higher then other strollers so the baby sits higher and it is easier to get him in and out. When we were away we would bring the stroller in the restaurants and push him up to the table like a chair and he was a good hieght to feed him.It also comes with a rain cover that worked great. It is comfy goes almost all the way reclined and it does not tip easily. We had a ton of bags at the airport on it and it didn't tip.The seat comes off easy to wash it too.Give it a look-I spent awhile looking before the trip and I thought I had decided on one and then this one came out and I picked it but I was nervous because I hadn't heard about it but I am glad I did.I got mine at Babies r us.

I bought an Aprica over the summer for our upcoming trip. My DD is 5 and I needed something with a heavier weight limit. It was supposed to hold up to 75 lbs. I couldn barely move the stroller with DD in it and she's around 50 lbs. Also it did recline, but I couldn't get it to go comepletely upright. So if you are thinking of using it longterm, think about these things too.
I ended up returning it and getting a Macleren Quest. I can push her so easily in it. I hated spending the money for something that won't be used much, except for trips, but I figure I would be spedning over $100 on stroller rental anyways, and now I can use this for more than 1 trip and not worry about extra costs of strollers.
I wish I would've bought it 3 years ago, when someone suggested it to me then. I bought a cheapy for vacations, and it worked well, but now that she is bigger I can't budge it with her in it.
