Hello all! I planned a trip for me (41) and my sister (37). We'll be in Disneyland and we'll be celebrating my sisters birthday (my sisters first time btw) Sunday, April 22 - Wed. April 25th, this is how i planned our days, it would mean alot to me if you could give your input, thank you:

Day 1, fly from NY into LA, im surprising her with a car from LAX instead of the shuttle which could take double the time! We'll be staying on property (GC). Weather or not our room is ready we will litteraly drop our bags and run to Disneyland Park, i have made us lunch reservations for 2:30 at Blue Bayou, then after exploring more of the park, i will be surprising her with the Fantasmic dessert package, hang around to watch the fireworkes then, head to bed, (big day).

Day 2, head to Cali. Adventure, explore the park then im surprising her with the World of Color pre fix dinner at Ariel's Grotto! (god i hope she likes it). then i guess we'll be bushed from all the walking around?

Day 3, do nothing, wake up when we want, then head downtown to do some shopping, etc. then back to the room and freshen up, change and head to Napa Rose for dinner @ 7:30 then its off we go for a night out in Down Town Disney!

Day 4, we have a late flight out, the car service wont be here until about 6:30pm, so were just gonna say goodbye to the parks all day, ride what we missed or just what we loved so much we want to do it again! Then head home :(

Thank you for reading, i could have gone into more detail but i didnt want to be boring, im hoping that ive planned the days out correctly, we have a 3 day park hopper so i think this is a good plan. If you have any suggestions and/or comments they are all welcome. Thank you!

Man, without a doubt of you are only doing a three day park hopper, I would make the first day a day to get settled in and enjoy Downtown Disney then spend the full days two and three in the park. I know you would be itchin to get to the park, but I would rather have the two full days and departure day in the parks rather than blowing the first day on a half day at best, especially after traveling.

The only thing that gets me about your plan is that you waist one of your full days in DTD. I would do DTD on either my first or last day there since both are travel days. That way I am in the parks as much as possible on the days Im not traveling. But thats my preference.

But no matter how you do it, its a great birthday present to give your sister. Thats very nice.

I agree, I would move your two reservations for lunch at BB and F! to your second day. This way you will get full operating hours at DL. There is so much for her to see and do if it is her first time you want her to have ample time to do it.
I prefer my last day to be in DTD, we do that e very trip. That way we buy all of the items we have seen over the course of the trip and simply head back to the hotel with out having to carry them around all day or mess with baggage check. It's also a lot easier on your feet and body to have a slow last day then a flight home.

But these are just my opinions, have fun and wish your sister a happy Birthday! :wizard:

Your plan sounds FUN!!! I fly out to CA every other month (I have a son there) and the time change kills me!!! I'd scale back your arrival day plans. Travel is tiring, plus the excitement takes a toll. You'll be bushed by 10 PM. :goodvibes You'll wake early in the next few days since your internal clock is on EST---you can hit the ground running. Have a great trip. I'm going out 4/13 for a long weekend with DS and we're doing DL. :yay:

WoW! you guys r sooo nice! thank you so much for the advice, i considered doing the Down town on the last day but, not the first, i think that might be a good idea, even tho we wont be able to contain ourselves, lol! Here is the problem, it looks like there is no Fantasmic on the 23rd  Yep actually it looks like the ONLY day Fantasmic is showing is on the night we arrive....oh well, i guess maybe we'll trade that down time day for the last day, but then no dinner at Napa Rose? i dunno about that, oh geez :worried: what to do????
maybe on that day we can just do the whole park go have din din then back to the park!

You guys r great, please keep it coming! oh and btw, ty soooo much for the well wishes for my sister, i will tell her. Oh, and the comment of me being nice was great too, lol ;)

I would do something like this:

Day 1: Parks and Blue Bayou and Fantasmic! dessert, parks are open late since it is Sunday, so you can get some good use out of this day.

Day 2: Parks and WOC dinner

Day 3: Parks and do late seating at Napa Rose, since DL closes at 9pm.

Day 4: DTD and shopping

This isn't the most relaxing way, but you do use your time a little more effectively. At least the parks don't open at 8am, those are early mornings. You get to sleep in! :rotfl:

I wouldn't necessarily only go to one park per day. Park hop as needed throughout the day to get the most from your touring. The parks are so close to each other, it is easy to do. Have fun! :goodvibes

yep i agree archowl, thats going to be my plan now!

Seriously! u guys are such a vacation saver! Thanx again!
