<font color=navy>Every couple of months we remind everyone to please take a look at the DIS Signature Guidelines and make sure you're in compliance.

If you need help, just hop on over to the Technical Support Board, and either a moderator or helpful DISer (and there are many) will help you resize your clipart, etc.

There are several mods who are tasked with enforcing the guidelines, and you may find that if you do not comply with the rules, we'll help you along. :)

It would be nice if this were a little more enforced. I see A LOT of people who do not follow the guidelines regarding signatures.

You are encouraged to use the "Report This Post" feature if you find something you feel to be in violation of any of our site guidelines.

Doc, according to the Reason on the Report this Post page,
This is ONLY to be used to report spam, advertising messages, and problematic (harassment, fighting, or rude) posts.
it seems that using it to report someone's signature, etc was not within the purpose of the <u>Report this Post</u> feature.

Maybe someone should change the text so it's not quite so restrictive.

<i>P.S., in case anyone is wondering, for my signature block as used below, I first received permission ahead of time from the DIS before adding it and it's link as shown below. There are definite rules to using a link in your signature.</i>

I agree Bill.::yes::

It would seem to me that "problematic posts" would pretty well cover it. The other comments (harassment, fighting, or rude) are merely used as an example- but does not define a limit.

You'd be amazed at how some already use "Report This Post".

The point here is- if you find something you feel is out of line regarding a post- use "Report".

We've had some people become upset when their posts/signature/links are addressed and claim "others are allowed to do worse than that." This is simply a means to point out examples of all those "others".

Oops on me - I was over on line numbers and the tag fairy came and dumped a reminder on my signature - thanks tag fairy - I have now come into compliance

Cheers all!

thanks
