I don't always like my neighbors and certainly don't agree with some of the illegal activites that go on over there but I also have compassion and feel for these kids.
My neighbors, husband and wife, 3 grown kids, a daughter and 2 sons. The girl has moved out and gone off to college without much help from her parents. The boys work odd jobs, are responsible for illegal activities going on over there, move in and out regularly. Dad is a truck driver and home on weekends on occassion.
About 18 months ago or so, the parents let a friend of theirs move in with his teenage daughter. The man worked odd jobs and we did not get a good vibe from him, knew he was wanted but didn't know details. About a year ago his other 2 kids move in from Georgia. I guess the mother got sick and could no longer care for them. The ages are 18, 17 and 14. The 18 yr. old graduated hs last year but does not have a job. The other two attend school. The 18 yr. does not have a car to get a job, got hooked up with some not so good kids in the neighborhood and is now 5 months pregnant and the daddy is in jail.
Well, I guess their dad got into some trouble and has been in prison for just over a month now. Dad did have a beater of a car and the kids have been using it but it has now died. The kids are trying to sell the car for scrap in order to get money to go home to Georgia.
I just feel for these kids. They haven't had the best role models and seems they have no family left here in this state and are trying to get home. Please keep them in your prayers that things will start looking up for them and that they make it home safely.
