Please pray for all of our American Dis'ers in the wake of the attacks today on the World Trade Centre and the Pentagon. Especially pray for Snoopy - moderator of the Inspiration board, whose husband is a Secret Service Agent in Washington and for Jaypd - moderator on the Resorts board, who is a New York City policeman.

All my thoughts and prayers are with Americans today.
What a horrible day:(

I've started a thread here to show our American friends that they have our prayers and support. This is almost surreal. Like a bad dream that you want to wake up from now! :(
What a tragedy.
CC

I'm in shock over all of this.:( My prayers for all of them have been going out all day.

My thoughts and prayers are also with all of our American neighbours.

The number for Canadians to call to inquire about where and when to give blood is 1-888-236-6283.

It's like a nightmare, only we're not able to just "wake up". All Americans are in my thoughts and prayers. I just can't believe it. What a needless tragedy. :(

If only prayers were enough. What a tragedy to watch and feel so helpless.

What a senseless act of terrorism. I am so scared of what our world is coming to! My prayers go out to all those whose lives will never be the same.

Gog help us and all of mankind. It is so scary....now Afaghanistan......what shoud we do?

Thanks for starting that thread, CC. I really do hope that our Americans understand how horrible all of us feel about this dreadful tragedy. Today has just been a huge shock.

My thoughts are with all the families who have lost a dear one. This is such a tragedy. Let's hope that we will never see anything like what happened today ever.

I woke up this morning not knowing what day it was. Was it the 11th or 12th. Now, I will remember this day forever. My brother in-law lives in NJ, he was scheduled on the Newark to SF flight tomorrow, the same flight that was hijacked today. He knows that tonight he will find out the some of his neighbours will never return home because they worked at the UN bldg. I can't get my mind around this one at all. I live close to Pearson International Airport, we live under one of the flight paths. Today the obvious absences of aircraft was haunting. I saw only 4 planes from 11:15 am to 3pm, there was international flights re-routed here. When time starts to cure this I hope we never forget how lucky we are. I will pray for all the families touches by this insanity. God Bless.

As Canadians, we are deeply saddened on this horrific day and ALL Americans are in our thoughts and prayers. As your closest neighbours, we feel your pain and fear. You are our brothers and sisters in our hearts.

Let's just hope that the people responsible for such a horrific act are brought to swift and severe punishment...

We will stand by you and with you against terrorism.

My trip on October 19th may not take place, but I will not let these extremists take away my freedom....it might be postponed but I WILL GO TO FLORIDA in the near future. I hope that this will be possible.

Let all free countries stand together against these cowards....

Our prayers are with the fallen and missing. May our prayers give you all strenght.

I agree with you completely, PhotobearSam. God bless all our American friends and their families, and may He bless the United States of America.

But lets call it what it is - WAR. For all of our sake, this is a war that the US, with whatever help they need from us, MUST WIN.

I thank you for starting this thread and caring. As an American citizen living in Canada I am in a state of shock. I know the world laughs at our patriotism but we can't help it. I feel so personally attacked - I am just sick to my stomach. My husband is in Germany and I told him to start saying "eh" and pro-gress and pro-cess!!!! I'm a nervous wreck. It seems people around me have absolutely NO IDEA how it affects even those not living in NY. We have a good friend on one of the WTC planes and many many friends and colleagues (from Harvard Business School) that work in the WTC that we have no idea if....... Just because an American doesn't have family in NY or DC doesn't mean it has not affected us deeply. We love our country!!!!!! I love living in Canada but am still an American through and through. Thank you Canada for caring.

This tragedy has affected everyone~as members of the human race. What a sad memory to carry forever.

Hello,

I would like to express my sorrow for what has gone on in New York, Washington and on the plane in Pennsylvania. This event has affected me deeply, I care for the people and families who were affected by this. My own husband is an emergency worker here, I can't even imagine what it is like for the people who have lost family members from this terrible act. My adult daughter cannot sleep anymore worried about terrorists and war.

We fly a Canadian flag on the front porch. I couldn't get hold of an American flag but our local newspaper printed a two page replica of the American flag for Canadians to put where they want to pay respect to our neighbours in America, my husband taped it to our front livingroom window as did alot of other neighbors, some found American flags before they were sold out and fly them proudly beside their Canadian flag in our neighbourhood.

I heard on the news here that six firetrucks with firemen went down to New York to help, also we had ordered a brand new firetruck for our city and it is being donated to New York. God bless everyone, you are not alone in your grief.

Debbie.
