Some of you may have read my post last week about my brother's accident at work.
He crushed his forearm, severed nerves and an artery. They reattached the artery and put a plate and a manmade bone in last week and were waiting for the swelling in his hand to go down before doing more surgeries. Well the swelling is down enough so today at 1:00 they are going to do another surgery to reattach everything. Depending on what they find when they get in there, they may or may not have to take a vein from his leg. Obviously we are praying they won't need to do that.
So if you all could send some prayers and pixie dust his way I would certainly appreciate it! Thank you all so much.
**UPDATE** Thank you all for your prayers! I went down to stay with SIL during the surgery. It lasted 7 hours. It was a LONG wait. But the doctors were able to use donor bone instead of taking bone from my brother's hip which we hear is extremely painful. They were able to repair both nerves that were severed, they had to take a nerve from his leg to repair one of them, they repaired the tendons and then did a skin graft. The doctor said he should be able to go home in a day or two. He's going to need at least 18 months of intense physical therapy and more surgeries, but today was the biggie. Once again, I thank you all for your prayers.
