Please Post Your Swimming Pool Pictures Here!!!

I love this thread. And I don't even like to swim.
Do the eyes on the clown really glow at night? I seriously think the pool would keep me from ever staying at the Boardwalk. I attribute it to being from the "Poltergeist" generation - my sister collected clowns as a kid and that movie had me terrified one would come to life and try to kill me.

This isn't a great pic but it's the Bowling Pin Pool at Pop at night!

This is the greatest thread ever! I'm going to have to find some pool pics now. We've stayed at POR twice and DH has stayed at GF 3 times as a kid.

One of the pools at the Poly. This is the one right behind the Neverland Club.
hmmmmmmm... that gives me an idea....:rolleyes1

From the pictures it looks like there is at least one slide at the pool of the Caribbean Beach and AKL. Anyone know the age limit to go down this slide and if they allow arm floaties while going down it? Oh and also if they let a parent stand at the bottom of the slide, or how deep the water is at the bottom of the slide.

Thanks a bunch! As you can probably guess I have a 5 year old DD who is on the verge of swimming but I'm still not sure of how comfortable I am with it. :)

My DS4(at the time) and DD (2 at the time) went down the slide at AKL so many times I lost count...there lots of little ones, usually with dad going after, up top coming down with the life jackets they provide....and lots of moms and dads taking turns standing there to catch them. The life guards just laughed at my tiny 2 year old...she may be tiny but she's fearless!

Here's some photos of the waterslide at Storm Along Bay. It's a pirate ship with a slide emptying out in the pool at the Beach Club and Yacht Club resorts. The back end of the boat is a kid's pool.

OK you asked for old photos...here ya go (I know I have more from 'newer', aka the 80's somewhere):

My sisters & I (I am the cute little one in the front :rotfl:) in June 1975 at the Golf Resort. Our first trip to Disney. My father knew someone that was related to someone that worked for Disney/built/something like that. So they got us 2 rooms at the Polynesian & I know we stayed at the Golf Resort too. I sort of remember this pool.

If I only still had this body!

At the Poly beach (again 1975)-

My cousin Loren & I. He was nearly 4 (August), I had to wait until October to turn 4. We all went to Disney for the first time then & then in the 80's we made more trips (we were teens at that point) with larger groups. I miss those days when we'd roam MK & Epcot (OK I went OT, sorry):

My sister & cousin. And yes I remember swimming in the water. I am 37 now so I survived what ever was lurking/growing in there.

We always thought the Poly's yellow boats were so much slower. When the GF opened we thought our boats were rigged to go so much slower then theirs. My dad & I-

The old pool from the Poly. Was this a kiddie pool or a hot tub? I am thinking it was a kiddie pool since I vaguely remember it being warmer then it should! My dad, me, Loren & the back/side of his dad:

My sisters & then my mother going down the slide. We thought this was the best thing in the world as teens. I hated to see it go:

I will have to go & search for more, from other trips. This is all I have from that trip (water wise). But not now since I should be in bed.

COOL Old photos!!!!!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2
My original idea for this thread was an all out anything pool related goes thread, and it still is!!! So keep them coming!!!:cool1:

I actually started this thread after someone posted on another thread (of another topic) an old picture of an abandoned swimming area on Disney property that is currently just rotting away. I thought it was fascinating, and thought it would make a great thread. Again, anything that's pool related is welcome. :thumbsup2 New or old.
