Please, please tell me May is...

We are going May 3-9, and I was already disappointed with PoTC being closed. I can't believe so many others might be also! :guilty:
We are at CBR May 4-10 and I am thinking the same thing! Yikes!

DH suggested we should all try to set a late night and meet at Beaches and Cream for a kitchen sink! :confused3

MAY SUCKS.... its the worst time of year to go... AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Just trying to scare people from going during "our" month. Perfect weather, perfect crowds, perfect month is May! :thumbsup2
:rotfl2: I love it :rotfl: Only 3 more weeks til our May trip!! :woohoo:

we will be there may11-15
never have been in may, was just there in feb-no crowds at all, no waits, was really great but cool.

And here are some other current closings for May:

May 2006

Animal Kingdom

Theatre in the Wild closed January 22nd, the Tarzan Rocks show has now ended. Finding Nemo -- comes to life in an all-new musical stage show debuting at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in late 2006 in the newly reconstructed Theatre in the Wild. CLICK HERE for Concept Artwork

Magic Kingdom

Liberty Square Riverboat will not be sailing through spring 2006 due to an extensive rehab.

Pirates of the Caribbean - will close the attraction in March to update the attraction to include characaters from the Movie Pirates of the Caribbean. Reopens July 7th. The attraction will feature the addition of two of Hollywood’s most infamous buccaneers, Captain Jack Sparrow and his nemesis Captain Barbossa. Joining the wildest crew that ever sacked the Spanish Main, Captain Jack and Barbossa add an exciting new twist to the attraction’s original storyline as they race to be the first to claim a cache of plundered treasure. The rival swashbucklers will be seen interacting with some of the more familiar Audio-Animatronics buccaneers found inside the ride-thru adventure. Also making a guest appearance is the ghostly Davy Jones from the second movie in the series, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest. But new characters are only the beginning. New special effects will also be added to enhance the “Pirates of the Caribbean” theme park experience.

We'll be there May 14-21 at WLV and AKL! It's getting so close guys! :)

Now, if only I could decide if we should take our 4.5 y/o DS to Wishes or Fantasmic as his only late night adventure, I'd be all set!

May has always been OUR month too..

Our last 3 visits have been in May and we would be going this year in May also but ongoing medical treatment will not allow AND my kids are older and much more difficult to miss school and sports...

You should be very pleased. Weather is perfect - in 3 visits, we only experienced 1 brief rain shower - 80's during the night and comfortable in the evening. Crowds were very low last time...

Good Luck!

We're going May 20th-26th for our first Disney Vacation! Since I have nothing to compare it to, I'm just hoping we don't have to wait too long.

We will be there May 27 - June 1. I forgot all about Memorial Day weekend. I hope it won't be too crowded.

We are excited about Star Wars weekend! Any news on who will be there yet? Do they always take this long to announce?

There has been an announcement. I think it was earlier this week. Check out the Star Wars Weekend info on:
www.mgmstudios.org

The official Star Wars site and Disney site has info, but I'm not sure of the direct page link.

We were there for the first Star Wars weekend last year. We normally go in October, we did find it a little busier than we were used to, but not horribly so. The special limited edition merchandise that they had for the Star Wars weekend caused the area around Star Tours to be obnoxious, it was just mobbed. I hope that they sorted that out for the other days!

We're there May 15 through the 26th. Our first trip in 1995 was in May and it was great. Beautiful weather, low crowds very nice. We are so excited to go back during the flower show!!

I would vote for Wishes. Fantasmic might be a little too much for him, unless he is into scary stuff.

May is a great month to go..have not been in May since 2004 though.

We will be there May 9-16th at Pop Century... :thumbsup2

May should be a good choice, we go every year in May the week before memorial day usually and have a great time with little to no wait for rides all day long. You'll love May. Have fun!

i agree ::yes:: fantasmic is also very hard to get a good spot at unless you get there early to snag a seat, and then wait an hour or so for the show to start - not much fun for a 4 year old!
