not as bad as March is. We're heading down May 15-21, as that is the only time we can go this year. The last time we were there was March right during Spring Break - my fault for not paying attention to the crowd levels, then.

It was mobbed, and I vowed never again. Will the crowd levels then be more manageable?

I haven't been down in March since 1985, but I do remember Spring Break crowds. I have, however, been down the last two May's and it is really not bad at all. It isn't as nice as the weeks after Thanksgiving, and it is a lot warmer than March, but we really enjoy it. I would definitely not call it "mobbed".

You'll find that people just don't go in May as much as Spring Break or summer, since it is so close to the end of school. Two years ago when we went for the first time, a CM told me that May was a really nice time to go, but avoid Memorial Day week. The crowds get crazy then.

You'll have a great time! Epcot has the Flower and Garden Festival and wait times are really pretty good.

Enjoy!! Maybe we'll see you there :)

What makes up Memorial Day Week---is it the week before or the week after? We are going to be down May 21-28...so checking out the Sunday before Memorial Day. How do you think that week will be? Thanks for any info.

We are going May 20-28, staying at POR. We would like to know about the crowds too. I have been keeping in mind that the Star Wars weekends are happening during this time too. I have been planning accordingly.

We just got back yesterday and believe me I wish I had paid more attention to the time of the year, it was packed!! May should be a good choice, we go every year in May the week before memorial day usually and have a great time with little to no wait for rides all day long. You'll love May. Have fun!

We went in May last year and were there the week before Memorial Day weekend and then we stayed through Memorial Day. The week before was VERY nice--very low crowds. We still used FastPass for Soarin' and the "bigger" attractions. But most things had little to no wait at all. It started getting noticeably more crowded the Friday before Memorial Day and then throughout the weekend those crowds grew. But I never felt that it was "unmanageable" or that we didn't get to do the things we wanted to do. I've been during Spring break before and it was NOTHING like that!!!

I would agree with Joshsmom...the week leading up to Memorial day should be fine, but the Saturday before on through may be getting crazy.

We have gone down the day after Thanksgiving and I imagine it's similar to that. Insane until Saturday and then calm.

Sounds good.. we'll be there 18th - 28th May and I was getting worried seeing the long opening hours as to me that means big crowds expected.

We'll try to get as much park time before Mem. day weekend and use those days for shopping ;)

We are going May 13th thru 19th. That's Mother's day weekend, but we are going to the parks Mon thru Thurs hoping to miss those crowds.

We're going May 12 - May 21. So you'll find us there too. It's not so busy anymore. Spring Breaks have ceased at that point and summer is just beginning for some colleges, so it's really not too bad (May 21st is back to busy season again, so we'll be gone atthe last second) :)

We will be there as well from May 12-15th. But I don't think the crowds will be as bad as during spring break time. I can't wait for the Flower and Garden festival!!!

We were there Mid May 2005 from 5/9-5/12 then off too the Disney Cruise. I can tell you that the weather was perfect and the crowds in our opinion were not heavy at all. Its now our favorite time of year to go!!!

MAY SUCKS.... its the worst time of year to go... AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Just trying to scare people from going during "our" month. Perfect weather, perfect crowds, perfect month is May! :thumbsup2

What stinks about early May is...........

Not only are Timekeeper and Wonders of Life closed, but Theater in the Wild is between shows, Riverboats at MK are closed, Pirates at MK are closed, Universe of Energy is closed. There is a rumour that Tom Sawyer might be closed since the river may be drained, plus Spectro is only being done once my week. Add to that Mission:Space may very well be closed now so at Epcot, only one of the four pavilions on the left side of the park are going to be open (Test Track) and we all know Test Track's record of begin closed periodically. Was really hoping to go on the Riverboat and tom Sawyer's for the first time.....

We will be down May 3-7 at SSR. Just going for a quick trip to see the flowers :flower: :flower1: :daisy: and drink margaritas. :drinking1

We will be at cbr may 10-14 and I am really looking forward to it. I signed up for tour guide mike and plan on using his recommendations for the least crowded park days. Only a few short weeks away!!
