I'd believe you ... but it wouldn't stop me from procrastinating , just from returning to this thread. I don't feel like putting my hard hat on today (gotta protect myself from stepping into threads where there's lot of fall out, ya know).
Hey Pluto! I had to wait until someone else posted so I could procrastinate a little bit before I said hi! Gotta keep this procrastination thing on track.
LOL! What is that? Is that a cicada or a grasshopper or a half something/half spider?
Daddy Longlegs.
I have to find that thread again. I think someone was going to post a picture of one on there.
And ... why do we as little kids like to torment our moms with snakes? I didn't know my mom was seriously afraid of them when I took the little baby garter snake into my house to show her. I was only about 5 when I did that and I had no clue she had a fear of snakes. But I found out real quick.
please note that other that te eye thing,, its pretty much my doing was writing the list for dd to get done i cheeted and usingthe slave labor to get chores caught up before dw who has been outof town since thursday gets home now i am not going to force her to do it all al;one.,. that wouldsnt be a good dad so i had to get up and help out by pointing at those items she hadnt managed to complete yet,, lol actually we worked together and other than laundry and a cpl pair of shoes in lr we got a presentable house now,, maybe we wil survive dw's return with minor explosions
It's supposed to be a daddy long legs. But beats me.
I was maybe 12 when I scared my mom. It was just a garter, but a decent-sized one. And it was real wiggly and its guts were falling out 'cause my dad had accidentally whacked it with the weed-whacker. My mom was inside ironing, and I held it up to the window for her to see. Dad told me to take it inside, so I motioned to mom that I was heading for the door. She tried to beat me, but I was able to open the door right as she reached it to lock it. Bloody snake right in her face.
I also scared an aunt with a big ol' hoppy-toad once.
Ooooooooh, okay. Then back in the club with full honors, no beatings with fluff -- as long as you wait until 5 minutes before she's due back before you get off the DIS and scramble around to finish anything that might need to be done!
Eww, that would have scared me too!
I like hoppy toads, little ones. Actually, I wish I had a couple little tiny ones in my backyard. I would love that. But I'm not big on frogs that JUMP! We had one in our pool 2 summers ago. I was afraid to go near him, but afraid to swim under water to get out of the pool, because I was afraid I would come up out of the water with the frog sitting on my head. He was sitting in where the filter thing is, just where the water splashes in and out. I was warned he was there AFTER I got in the pool.
we'resaveingthe 8 pairs of shoes between front door and the exit out of living room for last min stuff,, figure we can have htem done between driveway and door,, and we look like we are busy cleaning house also waitign till a bit closer to time for arrival to chagne the laundry around so its still running in machines now if she haad just remembered to call us when she left the park so we had a better idea of that time frame,, we dont know yet if shes on road or still in broken bow, appparently cell didnt get charged last night and we dont have that ever important arrival time to work with now
