If you've got time, do both. Your son will love Spiderman. It is worth the trip to IOA all by itself. The other rides that they will love are Pteranadon Flyers (a great coaster-like ride for kids), the Flying Unicorn ( a children's coaster), the Sinbad show, Cat in the Hat, the amazing Jurassic Park playground and adventure centre, the special effects in Poseidan's Fury, One Fish Two Fish. There are a few other border-line thrill rides that he may like.

Even if you don't ride many rides, it is still worth visiting. It has great restaurants and it is a lot of fun watching the water rides.

I didn't realize you had a monoply here and only your opinion could be expressed no matter how much of a false impression it could give someone.

I didn't mean to start up any disagreements here & everyone is entitled to their opinion, so why was I jumped on for mine? My opinons aren't giving a false impression, they are my opinions. Your opinions are yours & I even said I respected you for that. Now you are saying I have a monoply here? I am not looking for an argument. You took my wording (small vs short and like vs is) wrong & jumped on me?? I should have said IOA was more like Bush Gardens (either Tampa or Williamsburg) when comparing intense thrill rides and maybe this silly disagreement wouldn't have started. I still stand by my opinion in saying that the rides at IOA can be too intense for a small (young) child and most 6 yr olds would rather the MK at Disney than IOA. I do not think of IOA and any of the Disney parks as being simular. I do think that MGM & US are simular (and even think US is better than MGM so that knocks out the theory of Disney people not liking Universal). These are my opinions and I am entitled to them. Where is that giving a false impression?

Lets move on here please? I think we need to agree to disagree, like I said earlier, we all have our own opinions on what kids will like, as we all know what is scarey to some 4 yr olds, may not be scarey to another. Lets just leave it alone now ok?

We do both, Disney and Univ/IOA. We enjoy them both for different reasons.

IOA/Univ is amazing. Do you like the movies? Want to ride the movies? Then this is the place to go.

Spiderman is simply the most amazing ride I've ever been on..I can ride it over and over again...its not a ride its a fantasy adventure. We felt the same way about Jurassic Park...the ride I suppose is similar to Splash but when the music played and you floated into those huge doors that open for you.. it was so cool. It felt like you there. Don't dismiss Dr Suess, my kids (around 15 and 12) had a blast there with some of there fav charactors and the theming and colouring is wonderful. Even the ride was fun. I can't wait to try Mummy in Feb.

Back to the Future, MIB, Jaws, Earthquake, twister are all alot of fun.

Some of the shows are great...Terminator shouldn't be missed.

Disney brings me back to my childhood, Univ/IOA is for my adult/teenhood lol I don't go on Hulk or Dragons and there is tons of stuff for me to do.

I second what Damo & SandyinCanada said ( or does that mean I "third"??). Spiderman is simply the most amazing ride, EVER! My children were 7 & 9 when we went, and the entire family prefered IoA to MK, hands down. Island of the Lost Continent is outstanding. US has amazing theming and attractions also, Twister is absolutely fantastic. We did US/IoA/Mk & SW on our first ( and only, so far) trip to Orlando. We did not go with any preferences because we hadn't seen any of it before. We cannot even imagine going to Orlando and NOT doing the US parks. Next time, we will concentrate on WDW because we only visited one of those parks before, but it is US/IoA that we are excited about seeing again.
